El Arco (Land's End)
Los Cabos
El Arco is the natural rock archway carved into the granite cliffs at the very tip of the Baja California peninsula, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. It's Los Cabos' most photographed landmark, reachable only by boat from the Cabo San Lucas marina, and the surrounding rocks are home to a resident colony of California sea lions.
2
Médano Beach
Los Cabos
Médano Beach is Cabo San Lucas' main swimmable beach, a stretch of sand along the bay just steps from the marina, and one of the only beaches in the area calm enough for safe ocean swimming (unlike many of Baja's rougher Pacific-facing beaches). It's a popular launch point for jet skis and parasailing, with El Arco visible in the distance across the bay.
3
Todos Santos
Los Cabos
Todos Santos is a Pueblo Mágico (Magic Town), a Mexican federal tourism designation about an hour's drive up Baja's Pacific coast from Cabo San Lucas, known for its restored colonial-era architecture, working artist studios and galleries, and its surrounding surf beaches. It sits near the quiet fishing beach of Punta Lobos and the surf town of Pescadero.
4
Marina Cabo San Lucas
Los Cabos
The Marina Cabo San Lucas is the departure point for nearly every boat tour, sport-fishing charter, and yacht cruise in Los Cabos, lined with restaurants, shops, and the sportfishing fleet's daily catch display. It sits at the base of downtown Cabo San Lucas, within walking distance of Médano Beach and a short boat ride from El Arco.
5
Playa del Amor (Lover's Beach)
Los Cabos
Playa del Amor (Lover's Beach) is a secluded cove tucked beside El Arco, accessible only by boat or kayak, where the calm Sea of Cortez side of the beach faces the rougher 'Divorce Beach' surf on the Pacific side just a few steps away. It's a standard stop on nearly every glass-bottom boat and snorkeling tour departing Cabo San Lucas marina.
Humpback whales migrate to Los Cabos' waters roughly from mid-December through April. Outside that window, whale-watching tours still run as private snorkeling and sightseeing charters, just without the whales.
Los Cabos sits in the Sonoran Desert — expect cardón cactus and dry, rugged hills rather than tropical rainforest. Daytime heat runs high, especially June through September.
Cabo San Lucas faces the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez both, meeting right at El Arco. San José del Cabo and the Tourist Corridor face mostly the calmer Sea of Cortez side, generally better for swimming.
Tropical storms are a real possibility in late summer and fall, which is also when Los Cabos sees its heaviest rain (though rainfall overall is low year-round).
There's no road or trail to Land's End — every visit to El Arco, Lover's Beach, or Divorce Beach happens by boat or kayak from the Cabo San Lucas marina.
Cabo San Lucas is the marina, nightlife, and boat-tour hub; San José del Cabo has a more traditional town square, historic mission church, and gallery district. Many private tours combine both.
Los Cabos sits at the very tip of the Baja California peninsula, where two towns — the marina-and-nightlife hub of Cabo San Lucas and the more traditional, colonial-feeling San José del Cabo — anchor either end of a 20-mile stretch of coastline known as the Tourist Corridor. It's a desert-meets-ocean landscape: cardón cactus and rugged granite hills run right down to some of the clearest water on either the Pacific or the Sea of Cortez side of the peninsula, and the two seas actually meet at El Arco, the natural rock archway at Land's End.
Voyzo's private tours here lean into what the region actually does best — boats. Nearly every real Los Cabos experience starts at the Cabo San Lucas marina, whether that's a private yacht past El Arco, a sport-fishing charter chasing marlin, or a seasonal whale-watching trip during the real December-to-April migration window. Beyond the water, private day trips reach Todos Santos' artist community, the protected coral reef at Cabo Pulmo National Park, and La Paz, the quieter state capital a couple of hours up the peninsula.
