At five hours, this charter is built to actually reach Cabo's real deep-sea fishing grounds, not just troll close to shore. The seafloor here drops to well over 1,000 feet within just a few miles of the marina, and productive spots like the Gordo Banks — underwater seamounts roughly 22 miles northeast of Cabo San Lucas — rise up from that deep water and concentrate baitfish, which is exactly what draws the bigger pelagic species this route targets.
The species list reflects real, season-driven fishing patterns rather than a guaranteed catch: striped marlin are present most of the year but peak from around November through February, dorado run strongest from summer through early winter, and yellowfin tuna tend to be most active in summer and fall with occasional winter runs. Blue marlin and sailfish round out the seasonal mix as other genuine targets in these waters, which is part of why Cabo's fishing fleet and its tournaments built their reputation here in the first place.
Because the trip runs the full five hours with a dedicated crew and vessel, there's time to actually work these deeper grounds rather than fishing the close-in waters most shorter charters are limited to — which is the practical difference between this route and a quicker trip closer to the marina.
