Palais des Festivals et des Congrès
Cannes
The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès is the real, purpose-built venue that has hosted the Cannes Film Festival every May since the current building opened in 1982. Its famous red-carpet steps, the Escalier des Marches, are where stars are photographed ascending to premieres, and the surrounding plaza carries handprints of past festival honorees. Outside festival season, the building also hosts other major conventions and events throughout the year.
2
La Croisette
Cannes
La Croisette is Cannes' real palm-lined waterfront boulevard, stretching along the Mediterranean coast from the Old Port past luxury hotels, designer boutiques, and private beach clubs. It's the promenade most associated with the city's glamorous image during the film festival, but it's a genuine public walkway open to everyone year-round. The wide sandy beach running alongside it looks out toward the Lérins Islands just offshore.
3
Lérins Islands
Cannes
The Lérins Islands are two real islands, Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, sitting just off the coast of Cannes and reachable by a short public ferry. Saint-Honorat is home to a genuine working Cistercian monastery, Lérins Abbey, founded in the 5th century, where monks still produce their own wine and liqueur today. Sainte-Marguerite has a real 17th-century fortress, Fort Royal, once used as a prison and said to have held the legendary Man in the Iron Mask.
Cannes hosts the genuine Cannes Film Festival each May — the Palais des Festivals is a real, working venue, not a permanent attraction.
A genuine short private crossing from Cannes' harbour.
Cannes is real, genuinely synonymous with its own Film Festival — the Palais des Festivals' red-carpet steps and La Croisette's palm-lined waterfront anchor a city built around cinema glamour, with the real Lérins Islands a short private boat ride offshore.
Voyzo's Cannes lineup covers the genuine Film Festival history, real La Croisette walks, private Ferrari drives, and boat charters to the Lérins Islands, alongside real day trips to Antibes and Saint-Paul-de-Vence.
