Drive times are the figures Revelstoke Mountain Resort publishes. The resort says mountain highways near Revelstoke are prone to closures, so check DriveBC for road conditions on the day.
199 km, about 2.5 hours by road. The resort says Kelowna International Airport (YLW) is often referred to as the gateway to Revelstoke. Its page says an airport shuttle run by Revelstoke Transfers has up to 5 departures a day in winter and 1 a day in the summer months, with door-to-door drop-off in Revelstoke. The page is not dated, so confirm current departures with the operator.
413 km, 4.75 hours by road in the resort's drive-time table (its text elsewhere says four and a half hours). The resort says there is no scheduled shuttle between Calgary and Revelstoke at present.
Vancouver is 631 km, about 7 hours by road. Kamloops is 210 km, about 2.5 hours. The resort says an electric vehicle should make the trip from Kelowna airport on a single charge in any season, and that drivers coming from Calgary or Vancouver need to factor in at least one charging stop.
The Government of British Columbia says drivers must obey winter tire and chain signs from 1 October to 30 April, ending on 31 March on select highways outside mountain passes and high-snowfall areas. The page we read does not list which routes are signed, so follow the roadside signs. The resort asks drivers to make sure their vehicle has proper winter tires, and asks anyone renting a vehicle to request them.
The City of Revelstoke lists three public bus routes: 1 Southside to Hospital, 3 Big Eddy and 5 Resort Shuttle. The resort also lists a daily Resort Shuttle between downtown and the mountain, and says many hotels offer free shuttle passes with a stay.
The photography session includes pickup and drop-off at your Revelstoke accommodation, so you do not need a car for the tour itself. This page found no Revelstoke airport schedule or intercity coach timetable in an official source, so none is listed.

Season dates change every year: check each organiser before you go. The Environment and Climate Change Canada table for this station lists no snowfall row, so the snowfall figure on this page is the resort's own average for the mountain, and the temperatures describe the valley station, not the high alpine terrain.

Parks Canada lists the park as open year-round, with some visitor facilities closed from October to May. The parkway welcome kiosk's last listed day in 2026 was 25 October, and the summit road opens as the snow melts, so check Parks Canada's trail conditions report before you drive up. BC Hydro's centre is 5 km north of town on Highway 23N, with guided or self-guided tours, a theatre and a First Nations gallery; BC Hydro's recreation listing says tours give views from the dam crest, 175 m above the river. Its page, read on 26 October 2026, says the centre is closed for the season and reopens on 22 May 2027, 10 AM to 4 PM daily, with hours subject to change without notice. It says the centre is fully wheelchair accessible, visitors pass a security checkpoint, bags and purses are not allowed inside, and a limited number of free lockers are available.
The Government of British Columbia says the provincial sales tax (PST) is generally 7% on the purchase or lease price of goods and services, with some exceptions; its PST page (updated 21 September 2026) does not say how PST applies to accommodation, so check with your hotel. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) says visa-exempt foreign nationals need an eTA to fly to Canada but not to arrive by car, bus, train or boat; US citizens are exempt from the eTA and must carry proper identification such as a valid US passport; and citizens of select visa-required countries who can get an eTA to fly still need a visitor visa to arrive by car, bus, train or boat (IRCC page dated 23 April 2024). Confirm on Canada.ca before you travel.
Highway 23 crosses Upper Arrow Lake by ferry between Shelter Bay and Galena Bay, 49 km south of Revelstoke. The crossing takes 20 minutes and the Government of British Columbia says its inland ferries are free; sailings run 5 AM to midnight from Shelter Bay and 5:30 AM to 12:30 AM from Galena Bay, in Pacific Time (ferry page updated 21 August 2026, checked 26 October 2026).
Glacier National Park and Rogers Pass lie east of Revelstoke on the Trans-Canada Highway. Parks Canada's Glacier page (modified 24 July 2026) carries a banner about a temporary closure of the Rogers Pass Centre, and the page it links to (modified 25 August 2025) says the centre is undergoing major rehabilitation, with its exhibits and theatre closed and other services reduced, and that Summit Station next to it is the temporary visitor hub for park information and pass sales; neither gives a reopening date. West of town, the Last Spike Monument and Gift Shop at Craigellachie is a separate location from the museum in town, about 45 km west of Revelstoke on the Trans-Canada Highway according to the museum (checked 26 October 2026).
Fees and closures are as published on the dates read. Parks Canada's fees page prints no currency, and Canadian dollars are assumed.

Environment and Climate Change Canada's 1991-2020 normals for its Revelstoke station, at 444.7 m elevation, list an average January daily high of −0.8 °C and low of −5.7 °C but publish no snowfall row, so the resort's figure is the only snowfall number on this page. Conditions change daily, so check the resort before you go.
For skiing and snowboarding, the resort's events page lists Opening Day on 5 December 2026, and Environment and Climate Change Canada's January normals are a daily high of −0.8 °C and low of −5.7 °C. For hiking and the national park, July and August are warmest, with average daily highs of 26.5 °C and 25.5 °C. The resort's page is not dated, and we found no Revelstoke airport or intercity coach timetable in an official source, so confirm departures with the operators.
The Government of British Columbia says drivers must obey winter tire and chain signs from 1 October to 30 April, and the requirement ends on 31 March on select highways outside mountain passes and high-snowfall areas. It is a private session: a professional photographer works with your group only, tailored to your skiing or snowboarding ability, and a private vehicle and driver provide pickup and drop-off at your Revelstoke accommodation. Sessions run 3 to 7 hours, with full-day and half-day options, and optional video packages are available, with lifestyle or family shoots on request. You do not need to be an advanced skier or rider. The price is quoted by email, and the quote confirms what is included, including whether lift tickets are needed. See the Voyzo tour page.
Entry rules apply where you arrive in Canada, not in Revelstoke. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) says visa-exempt foreign nationals need an eTA to fly to or transit through a Canadian airport, but not when arriving by car, bus, train or boat, and that US citizens are exempt from the eTA requirement and must carry proper identification such as a valid US passport. About
Revelstoke's original townsite was surveyed in 1880 and the settlement was known as Farwell for the next six years. The Canadian Pacific Railway laid out a new townsite to the east and named its station Revelstoke after the 1st Baron Revelstoke, head of the banking house Baring Brothers, and the city was incorporated on 1 March 1899, according to BC Geographical Names. The Canadian Pacific main line, now run by CPKC, still runs past the Revelstoke Railway Museum, which acknowledges the traditional territory of the Sinixt, Ktunaxa, Secwepemc and Syilx nations. Revelstoke Mountain Resort says it first opened its doors on 21 December 2007.
The Voyzo tour above is a private mountain photography session: a photographer works with your group only, matched to your ability, and a private vehicle and driver pick you up at your Revelstoke accommodation. The resort, the national park, the museum and the dam keep their own hours, seasons and fees; the quote confirms what the tour includes. The tour is run by an independent operator that Voyzo books for you.
