This tour's real destination is widely known among locals as Peek-a-Boo Canyon (sometimes called Red Canyon) — a short slot canyon on Bureau of Land Management land about 9 miles north of Kanab, genuinely distinct from both Buckskin Gulch and the Huntress used on Voyzo's other slot canyon tours. At roughly 0.7 miles round trip, it's a far shorter, more concentrated hike than the Gulch's multi-mile narrows.
Inside, the canyon's narrow orange sandstone walls carry real Moqui steps — hand- and foot-holds cut into the rock long before modern trails existed — along with logs occasionally wedged into the narrows by past flash floods, which periodically reshape the route entirely.
Getting there is the real reason most visitors book a guided tour rather than drive themselves: the approach crosses several miles of deep, loose sand on unmarked BLM roads north of Kanab, where even high-clearance 4WD vehicles regularly get stuck. A private guide handling that drive is a genuine, practical advantage here, not just a convenience.
