About This Tour

Ride your own snowmobile through Whistler's backcountry with a private guide, taking in views of Brandywine Mountain, Mount Fee, and Black Tusk with a hot drink stop at a backcountry cabin. This is a genuine private tour/activity confirmed by the operator: "Only your group will participate." A minimum of 2 snowmobiles must be booked to run this private tour. This is a real seasonal, winter-only activity, available only when the backcountry has adequate snow cover.

Snowmobiling around Whistler works because the backcountry above the valley holds deep, reliable snow through winter, but conditions vary by year, which is why the tour only runs when there is adequate cover. Riding beyond the groomed ski-area boundary gives views of Brandywine Mountain, Mount Fee and the Black Tusk across the Garibaldi Ranges.

The Black Tusk, at roughly 2,319 metres, is the remains of a stratovolcano in Garibaldi Provincial Park and the most recognisable peak on the horizon. It is part of the Garibaldi Volcanic Belt, the Canadian end of the Cascade Arc.

A warm-up stop at a backcountry cabin breaks up the ride, and a private group means your guide can set the pace to the group's riding skill.
