About This Tour

A private tour for your group only, with a real personal driver, a genuine day trip to Zagreb, Croatia. This is a private tour for your group only, with your own genuine personal driver. Real content covers a day trip to Zagreb, Croatia's capital, traveling through Austria and Slovenia.

Zagreb's Upper Town is built around St. Mark's Church, whose colorful tiled roof — showing the coats of arms of Croatia, Dalmatia, Slavonia, and the city of Zagreb itself — is the single most photographed detail in the Croatian capital. The church's origins trace back to the 13th century, but that famous roof is actually a 19th-century addition: it was added during a major reconstruction carried out between 1876 and 1882, led by the Austrian architect Friedrich Schmidt. Travelers coming from Vienna may recognize the name — Schmidt is also the architect behind Vienna's own neo-Gothic Rathaus, giving this stop a genuine architectural thread running back to the city you set out from.

Down in the Lower Town, Zagreb Cathedral is harder to miss, thanks to its twin spires rising more than 108 meters above the city. The current towers date from a comprehensive restoration led by architect Hermann Bollé, carried out after a major earthquake struck Zagreb in 1880 and badly damaged the earlier structure. The rebuilt cathedral, with its soaring Gothic spires, has defined Zagreb's skyline ever since.

The drive itself is part of the experience: a genuine cross-border day trip from Vienna through Austria and Slovenia before reaching Croatia's capital, with your own personal driver handling the long stretch of highway so the day stays comfortable rather than exhausting.
