A 27-day grand tour through five Central Asian countries, spending the most time in Uzbekistan's Fergana Valley, Samarkand, Shakhrisabz, Bukhara, and Khiva, alongside real time in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan's Pamirs, Turkmenistan's Karakum Desert, and a first stop in Kazakhstan. This is a genuine five-country Central Asia trip, and the real night-by-night split is uneven: 10 nights in Uzbekistan (Fergana, Tashkent, Samarkand, Shakhrisabz, Bukhara, and Khiva), 7 nights in Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek, Issyk-Kul, Karakol, Kochkor, and Osh), 5 nights in Tajikistan (Khujand, Dushanbe, Iskanderkul Lake, and the Fann Mountains' Seven Lakes), 2 nights in Turkmenistan (Ashgabat and the Darvaza gas crater), and 2 nights in Kazakhstan (Almaty, where the trip begins). Every night's hotel is confirmed in whichever country you're actually in that day.
