An 11-day trip built around a five-day trek through the Rwenzori Mountains — the “Mountains of the Moon” — to Lake Mahoma and Kitandara Camp, followed by a Kazinga Channel boat safari and chimpanzee trekking at Kalinzu Forest. Days 3-7 are a genuine multi-day trek through the Rwenzori foothills, reaching Lake Mahoma at roughly 3,300m — a good level of fitness is recommended — with your driver-guide handling every transfer before and after the trek.
