About This Tour

A private running tour for your group only, real Prague highlights and genuine hidden places covered on foot, at a run. This is a private running tour for your group only. Real Prague highlights and genuine hidden places are covered on foot, at an active running pace.

Prague has carried the nickname 'the city of a hundred spires' since at least the early 19th century, most likely coined by the Austrian historian Josef Hormayr — and the real count of spires, towers, and steeples visible across the skyline is estimated at anywhere from 500 to over a thousand, far beyond the hundred in the nickname. Seeing that skyline properly means covering genuine distance across a historic core that UNESCO added to its World Heritage List in 1992, precisely to protect its unusually intact medieval and Baroque street pattern from redevelopment.

That core is compact enough — Castle District on one side of the river, Old Town and New Town linked across it by Charles Bridge — that a running pace can realistically connect the city's best-known landmarks with quieter corners a standard walking tour doesn't have time to reach in the same visit. It's a genuinely different way to see Prague: less time spent standing in front of any single landmark, more ground covered in a single morning, with the city's real topography of hills and riverbank setting the actual pace and route.
