Prague's historic core — Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, Charles Bridge, and the riverbanks between them — sits inside a UNESCO World Heritage Site specifically because so much of its medieval and Baroque fabric survived intact, and the city leans into that history after dark with deliberate illumination of its best-known landmarks. The warm floodlighting on the castle and cathedral, and the way it catches on the Vltava's surface, is a large part of why Prague has long carried the nickname Zlatá Praha — Golden Prague — even if the exact origin of that name isn't precisely documented.
Charles Bridge itself is arguably the single best real location for this kind of work: its thirty Baroque statues, added between 1683 and 1714, read completely differently under artificial light than they do by day, throwing dramatic shadows across the bridge deck and against the illuminated Castle District looming behind them.
Shooting a well-exposed night scene of a floodlit landmark and a dark river genuinely benefits from some hands-on technique — manual exposure settings, a steady base for longer shutter speeds, and an understanding of how a scene with both bright highlights and deep shadow actually reads on camera — which is the real, practical value a guide adds on a tour built specifically around night photography rather than general sightseeing after dark.
