Prague is a genuinely hilly city, and that's not a minor detail for anyone covering it on two wheels. Petřín Hill alone rises about 130 meters above the riverbank, steep enough in places that the historic funicular railway built to climb it runs at close to a 30 percent grade — one of the steepest cable railways in the country. The Castle District sits on its own separate hill across the river, and Letná's park plateau rises well above the old town on the opposite bank, which means a standard city bike tour in Prague involves real, sustained climbing most cyclists don't expect.
An e-bike genuinely changes that equation — it's the difference between arriving at a viewpoint over Petřín or Letná energized enough to actually enjoy it, rather than winded from the climb. That's a big part of why this format suits a city built across hills and a river valley rather than flat terrain, and why a route reaching Letná and Petřín parks, Wenceslas Square, and the Astronomical Clock area in one outing is realistic here in a way it wouldn't be entirely on foot.
Because the route flexes to whatever the group actually wants to see, the e-bike format also works well for threading together Prague's real green spaces — Letná's open plateau and Petřín's wooded hillside — with the dense, pedestrian-only core around the Astronomical Clock, something a fixed-route tour usually can't do in a single session.
