An 11-day family route from Porto's Douro Valley wine country to Lisbon's Alfama and Sintra's Pena Palace, then Algarve beach time and boat trips to the Ponta da Piedade sea caves in Lagos.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Arrival pickup at Porto Airport.

Day 1 — Porto

Arrival and hotel check-in, with a leisurely stroll along the Ribeira District by the Douro River.

Day 2 — Guided Tour of Porto

A half-day guided tour of Porto's UNESCO-listed historic center and the Bolão Market.

Day 3 — Douro Valley

A private wine estate tour with tasting and lunch, followed by a scenic hour aboard a traditional rabelo boat.

Day 4 — Sintra & Transfer to Lisbon

A visit to the fairy-tale Pena Palace in Sintra and the coastal town of Cascais, before continuing on to Lisbon.

Day 5 — Lisbon

A guided walking tour through Bairro Alto and Alfama, the Lisbon Cathedral, and St. George's Castle, with an optional Fado dinner.

Day 6 — Nazaré

An excursion to the seaside town of Nazaré, famous for its giant waves, with an optional private surf lesson or beach time.

Day 7 — Évora to Lagos

A stop in the UNESCO-listed town of Évora for lunch and a walking tour, before continuing south to Lagos in the Algarve.

Day 8 — Boat or Kayak in the Algarve

A private boat tour or kayak trip along the coastal rock formations of Ponta da Piedade, a visit to Lagos Castle, and an optional hike on the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail.

Day 9 — Free Day in Lagos

A day at leisure, with optional excursions to Faro or Sagres.

Day 10 — Beach Day in Lagos

Family beach time in Lagos, with an optional seafood dinner, before an afternoon transfer to Lisbon.

Day 11 — Departure

A private transfer to the airport after breakfast.

Departure

The trip ends with a final beach morning in Lagos before the drive back to Lisbon and a private transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
