About This Tour

A private tour for your group only, with real skip-the-line entry — genuinely focused on the Impressionist masterpieces housed at the Musée d'Orsay. This is a private tour for your group only, with real skip-the-line entry. The focus is genuinely on the Impressionist masterpieces — Monet, Renoir, Degas, and more.

The Musée d'Orsay exists specifically to cover the gap between the Louvre, whose own collection runs roughly up to 1848, and Paris's modern art museums — which makes it the natural home for the Impressionists, whose movement took off in exactly that window, through the 1870s and 1880s. The museum now holds the world's largest collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings, with real depth across Monet, Renoir, Degas, and Van Gogh.

The building adds its own layer of history: it was built in 1900 as the Gare d'Orsay railway station, designed by Victor Laloux, before closing to long-distance trains in 1939 and reopening as a museum in 1986. With skip-the-line entry included, your guide can spend the real time savings on the paintings themselves rather than the queue — walking you specifically through the Impressionist galleries rather than the museum's full, much broader collection.
