WildPlay's zipline sends you 670 metres (2,200 feet) along the Niagara gorge at speeds over 70 km/h, launching from a tower 67 metres above the landing deck at the base of Horseshoe Falls — four riders go at once, side by side, from the Grand View Marketplace on the Niagara Parkway, with tickets open to anyone 7 or older.
Your helicopter flight is with Niagara Helicopters, flying out of a heliport that's operated continuously since 1964, making it Canada's oldest aerial sightseeing company. The fleet has gone through several generations of aircraft since a single four-seat Bell JetRanger in the early years; since 2015 it's flown Airbus H130 helicopters, a notably quieter machine than the Bell 407s that came before.
The jet boat section runs the Niagara Whirlpool's Devil's Hole Rapids, rated Class V whitewater, aboard 1,500-horsepower boats with triple turbo-diesel waterjets instead of exposed propellers — a design built specifically to plunge into standing waves without fouling on submerged rock. Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours has worked this exact stretch of river since 1992, and both boats and captains are certified by the U.S. Coast Guard and Transport Canada.
The Floral Clock you pass between stops was built by Ontario Hydro in 1950 after its chief engineer visited Edinburgh's own floral clock on a business trip; at 40 feet wide, it's three times the size of the Scottish original and gets replanted with 15,000 to 20,000 bedding plants every single year.
