A private, air-conditioned or electric vehicle and a local guide build the day around your interests — from Ciudad Vieja's Art Deco streets to the hilltop fortress overlooking the bay.
This tour is genuinely tailor-made — your guide asks what you want to see and builds the route around it rather than following a fixed script. Most days include the Art Deco streets of the Old City, the Prado neighborhood's green spaces, and the hilltop Fortaleza del Cerro overlooking Montevideo Bay, but the exact stops and pace are yours to set.

About This Tour
A private, air-conditioned or electric vehicle and a local guide build the day around your interests — from Ciudad Vieja's Art Deco streets to the hilltop fortress overlooking the bay. This tour is genuinely tailor-made — your guide asks what you want to see and builds the route around it rather than following a fixed script. Most days include the Art Deco streets of the Old City, the Prado neighborhood's green spaces, and the hilltop Fortaleza del Cerro overlooking Montevideo Bay, but the exact stops and pace are yours to set.
The Fortaleza del Cerro stands on the highest hill in the Montevideo department, around 134 metres above sea level. Construction began in 1809 under Governor Francisco Javier de Elío and was completed in 1839, and it is considered the last Spanish fort built in Uruguay. It has housed a military museum since 1916 and has been a national monument since 1931.
The Prado is Montevideo's oldest large urban park, established in 1873 and covering around 106 hectares. Its Rosedal rose garden, with roughly 12,000 roses imported from France, was laid out in the early 1910s.
Ciudad Vieja, the Old City, gives the Art Deco and Beaux-Arts streets their character. Since your guide builds the route around what interests you, it can easily extend to the coast or to a market stop.
