An 8-day kayaking expedition across Lake Skadar, the largest lake in the Balkans — paddling past lily fields, abandoned forts and island villages, with an optional rest-day visit to Kotor's Old Town. Every night is spent around Lake Skadar in southern Montenegro — Rijeka Crnojevica, lakeside camps, and an eco-resort near the Moraca River mouth — with no coastal-town nights on this route.
A private guide, driver, and vehicle for the entire trip, with hotels pre-arranged at every overnight stop — the pace and any optional stops can still be shaped around your group.
Arrival pickup at Podgorica Airport, Montenegro, where the trip begins.
Airport pickup and transfer to Rijeka Crnojevica, a historical town dating to the 15th century, with afternoon exploration of local sights.
Kayaking through scenic landscape with a fresh fish lunch stop at Karuc bay, then paddling through lily fields and the Karatuna River to Dodosi village.
Visiting the abandoned fort of Zabljak Crnojevica, paddling through willow forest, then hiking to the abandoned village of Poseljani for an overnight camp.
Paddling the lake's narrower section past lilies and islands to the mouth of the Moraca River, then swimming and relaxing at an eco-resort.
A day off the water, with optional visits to Medjurec Canyon, the former royal capital of Cetinje, or Kotor's Old Town.
A long paddling day (roughly 20km) past Vranjina Island, the Grmozur prison island, and Radus Oko bay, camping on the beach at Murici Islands.
Paddling the lake's widest section with views of the Albanian Alps, exploring the Murici Islands including Beska and its ancient church, and tasting local cuisine.
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for departure.
The trip ends with a transfer to Podgorica or Tivat Airport for your departure flight.
