The longer route covers Mont-Tremblant National Park, the first provincial park created in Quebec, in 1895, now a national park. Its forests, rivers and lakes stretch far beyond the resort, and the extra distance is what takes you beyond the village.
Mont Tremblant, the highest peak of the Laurentians, is the park's centrepiece. The first resort opened on its slopes in 1939. Over the flight you can follow how Lakes Tremblant and Mercier link the park to the village.
