Concordia was founded as the Villa de San Sebastián in 1565 by Francisco de Ibarra. Its main church, San Sebastián, dates from 1785 and has an ornate baroque facade. The town is known for handmade wooden furniture, symbolized by a giant chair in the plaza.
Mesillas is described as home to some of the region's best furniture makers and craftspeople, and Malpica has small family workshops, including handmade tile makers. These are working villages, so what you see depends on the day.
A private guide can link the three stops with local context that a short beach-excursion schedule would skip.
