Platform 9¾ at King's Cross is the obvious draw, and the installation there is a genuine, permanent one: a half-submerged luggage trolley appears to vanish into the wall beside the real platforms 9 and 10, a popular photo stop that comes with an adjoining Harry Potter shop selling scarves and other props. It's one of the few Potter sites in London that exists purely for fans rather than as a leftover film set.
Leadenhall Market, by contrast, really was used for filming — its ornate Victorian glass-roofed arcade stood in for the entrance to Diagon Alley in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, even though most of Diagon Alley's other scenes were built on soundstages at Warner Bros. Studios. Walking through the market today, under the same wrought-iron and glass it had in the film, is one of the few places in central London where you're standing on an actual Potter filming location rather than a themed stand-in.
