Visit a women's cooperative for felt-carpet workshops, then a horse ride across the Kyzyl-Kiya jailoo and Chaar-Archa Pass to a yurt camp overnight.
A morning climb to the Jalgyz-Karagai pass over the Song-Kol mountains, descending to the lake for lunch, meeting local shepherds and tasting kumyz, with another yurt camp overnight.
The return journey over the Kalmak Ashuu pass, stopping at the ancient Burana Tower, with an optional folklore program at dinner.
