About This Tour
A private, exclusive 7-8 hour day trip to Lake Chapala and the lakeside artist town of Ajijic, with time along the Malecón, in local markets, and at a selected restaurant for regional cuisine. An exclusive experience reserved just for you and your group, exploring the captivating landscapes and vibrant artistic scene of Lake Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico's largest lake and one of its most picturesque lakeside towns.
Lake Chapala is Mexico's largest freshwater lake, about 80 kilometres long from east to west and 18 kilometres wide. Ajijic, along the north shore, is one of several relaxed lakeside towns, with Chapala and Jocotepec, that mix sightseeing, shopping and dining.
The Malecón at Chapala is the best place to take in the scale of the lake. Water levels do vary with rainfall, so what you see depends somewhat on the year.
Ajijic's cobbled lanes, art galleries and murals reward a slow pace, which is why the tour keeps time open for markets and a regional lunch instead of rushing between stops.
