A private 5-day Arctic escape based in Ilulissat, West Greenland — a boat trip to the calving Eqi glacier, a day at the colonial-era Ilimanaq settlement, a kaffemik with a local Inuit family, and evening cruises among the icebergs of Disko Bay. This trip is entirely within Greenland, based in Ilulissat on the west coast. Greenland has very limited road infrastructure between settlements, so this itinerary genuinely runs by private boat rather than by private vehicle for its excursions — the boat trip to the Eqi Sermia glacier and the crossing to the Ilimanaq settlement both cover open water with no road connection to Ilulissat. Only the airport transfer and in-town movement use a vehicle.

Arrival transfer to your guesthouse in Ilulissat, followed by a guided cultural walk through this small, colorful town beside the UNESCO-listed Ilulissat Icefjord. The evening is free, with an optional kayak tour among the icebergs under the midnight sun.
A boat trip 80 kilometers north to Eqi Sermia, the 'calving glacier,' passing the settlement of Oqaatsut and the Pakitsoq fjord system where whales and seals are often spotted. The day ends back in Ilulissat with a sauna overlooking the icebergs of Disko Bay.
A short boat crossing to Ilimanaq, a beautifully preserved colonial-era settlement just 7km from Ilulissat. A guided walk takes in the old buildings and trout farms, followed by lunch at Restaurant Egede before free time to hike and a boat ride back.
A morning kaffemik with a local Inuit family — coffee, cakes, and stories that give real insight into Greenlandic life — followed by time with husky puppies being raised for the winter sled season, and a final sunset boat tour among the icebergs.
A leisurely final morning in Ilulissat at your own pace before a shuttle transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
