Cacao has a very long history in Nicaragua: pre-Columbian peoples in the west used it as food, drink and even currency, and Spanish-era writers prized Nicaraguan cacao for its flavour and large beans.

The colonial mansion setting and short length make it easy to pair with a walk through Granada's centre.
