An 8-day journey into the Svaneti highlands' village life — cozy family-run stays, a trek to the Koruldi Lakes, Kubdari bread-making with locals in Mestia, and a hike to the base of the Shkhara Glacier. This trip stays entirely within Georgia. One night in Kutaisi at each end of the trip bookends a Svaneti loop through the village of Becho, the regional hub of Mestia, and Europe's highest permanently inhabited village, Ushguli — a genuine highland circuit rather than a single base.

Visit the UNESCO-listed Gelati Monastery, founded by King David the Builder in 1106, then drive north into the Svaneti mountains to the village of Becho.
A full-day hike through the Becho Pass to the Ushba Falls, with a picnic lunch, followed by a transfer to Mestia, the center of Upper Svaneti.
Visit the alpine Koruldi Lakes, then join local Mestia residents for a hands-on lesson in making Kubdari, Svaneti's traditional meat-filled bread.
A scenic drive to Ushguli, Europe's highest permanent village, with a guided walk past its defensive towers and the 12th-century Lamaria church.
