An 8-day tour through Georgia's UNESCO World Heritage sites and 8,000-year-old wine culture — Tbilisi's Old Town, the ancient capital Mtskheta, the rock-hewn town of Uplistsikhe, Mount Kazbek, and Kakheti's Qvevri wineries. This trip stays entirely within Georgia. Two nights open in Tbilisi, two more are spent in Kutaisi for the western monasteries and wineries, one night is up at Kazbek in Stepantsminda, one in the Kakheti wine town of Telavi, and the trip closes with a final night back in Tbilisi.

Arrival in Tbilisi, a first walk through the Old Town Quarter across the Glass Bridge of Peace, and a welcome dinner at a local wine bar.
Explore Tbilisi's Baths District and hilltop fortress, Rustaveli Avenue, and the Dry Bridge Flea Market, then drive to the former capital Mtskheta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, ending at the Jvari Church viewpoint at sunset.
Visit Gori, birthplace of Stalin, the rock-hewn town of Uplistsikhe, and the fresco-filled Kintsvisi Church, before crossing the Rikoti Pass to Kutaisi, the ancient kingdom of Colchis.
A morning at Kutaisi's farmers market, the Soviet-era sanatorium ruins at Tskaltubo, an archaeological museum in Vani, a winery tour and tasting, and the UNESCO-listed Gelati Monastery.
Farewell views from Bagrati Cathedral, then the drive along the Georgian Military Highway via Ananuri Church to the foot of Mount Kazbek, with an optional Gudauri cable car detour.
Visit Gergeti Trinity Church on the Gergeti Plateau, then head into Kakheti wine country to Alaverdi Cathedral, a family Qvevri (clay vessel) workshop, and the fortress of King Erekle II in Telavi.
Explore the ruined Gremi Citadel, the old town of Sighnaghi, and Bodbe Monastery, with a final winery tasting on the way back to Tbilisi and views from the Sameba Cathedral gardens.
