About This Tour

A private, fully personalized family tour with round-trip travel from your hotel, built around child-friendly stops. The tour is built to show Dublin through young eyes, with stops at family-friendly attractions such as Dublin Zoo and St. Stephen's Green, plus a refreshing afternoon tea and cake break for the whole group.

Dublin's family-friendly side runs deeper than ice cream stops. Take St. Stephen's Green, a patch of common land first enclosed back in 1664. For two centuries it stayed a private square for well-off Dubliners, until the brewing magnate Arthur Edward Guinness, Lord Ardilaun, sponsored an 1877 Act of Parliament, personally paid for its landscaped lake, waterfall, and rockwork, and handed it back to the city. It reopened to everyone, free of charge, on 27 July 1880, and has been one of Dublin's favorite green spaces for families ever since.

Dublin Zoo, another regular stop on this tour, is one of the oldest zoos in the world, open to visitors since 1831 - old enough that generations of Dublin families have grown up with it as a rite of passage, not just a tourist attraction.

What makes this particular tour different is that none of it is retrofitted for children. The pacing, the stops, and the built-in afternoon tea and cake break are all planned around keeping young travelers genuinely engaged, with a private guide who can slow down, speed up, or change plans on the day as your family needs.
