One real correction worth knowing: Handel's Messiah didn't actually premiere inside Christ Church Cathedral itself. The world premiere took place on 13 April 1742 at the Great Music Hall on nearby Fishamble Street, to a packed audience of around 700 - but Handel did secure special permission to use the combined choirs of both Christ Church and St. Patrick's cathedrals for the performance, which is the real, genuine connection between the cathedral and that famous premiere.
Christ Church itself has its own deep history regardless: first built around 1030 under the Viking king Sitric Silkenbeard, rebuilt in stone in 1172 under Strongbow, and restored almost entirely in the 1870s. This private tour pairs that cathedral with the Neoclassical former Irish Parliament House on College Green - built 1729 to 1739 and now the Bank of Ireland - plus Georgian-era City Hall, Temple Bar, and Trinity College and its Book of Kells, genuinely mixing Viking-era and Georgian-era Dublin in a single route most tours keep separate.
Confirm whether Trinity College and Book of Kells entry tickets are included when you book, since specific ticket inclusions can vary.
