A two-week self-drive-style journey upgraded with boutique stays — Tortuguero's canals, the waterfalls of Bajos del Toro, Arenal's hot springs, Rio Celeste, and the beaches of Playa Panamá. Day-by-Day Itinerary

Arrival

Arrival pickup at Juan Santamaría International Airport, San José.

Day 1 — San José

Airport welcome and transfer to your hotel, with the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2 — On to Tortuguero

Travel through Braulio Carrillo National Park and agricultural country, with a boat transfer, lunch, and village exploration on arrival.

Day 3 — Tortuguero

An early coffee, scenic trails, and a guided canal tour through the jungle waterways and mangroves.

Day 4 — Bajos del Toro

Journey to this rainforest region for waterfalls, swimming holes, and a visit to Catarata del Toro.

Day 5 — Bajos del Toro

A cultural tour visiting a 400-species orchid garden and a local pulpería for fresh tortillas.

Day 6 — On to La Fortuna
