About This Tour

A 9-day journey through Guizhou and Guangxi's ethnic villages — Miao, Dong and Shui communities — finishing with Guilin and Yangshuo's karst scenery. Entirely within mainland China — Guizhou and Guangxi provinces.

Arrival

Airport pickup in Guiyang on Day 1.

Day 1 — Guiyang

Arrival, transfer to hotel, Qianling Park, and the Qing Dynasty Hongfu Temple.

Day 2 — Guiyang to Kaili

A drive to Kaili to explore Qingman village and its papermaking traditions.

Day 3 — Miao & Shui Villages

Langde Miao village, Datang Miao village, and meeting the Shui people.

Day 4 — To Zhaoxing

Basha Miao village, then arrival in Zhaoxing to see a Dong "Grand Song" performance.

Day 5 — Chengyang Wind & Rain Bridge

A visit to Chengyang Dong village, famous for its wind and rain bridge.

Day 6 — Longji Terraces

A drive to Longji to hike the terraced paddies and surrounding villages.

Day 7 — To Guilin

A scenic drive to Guilin for a city tour of its hills and local culture.

Day 8 — Li River to Yangshuo

A full-day Li River cruise with onboard lunch, ending with the Liu Sanjie Impression show.

Day 9 — Departure

A morning of leisure before transfer to Guilin Airport.

Departure

The trip ends with an airport transfer from Guilin on Day 9.
