An eight-day desert crossing linking Bolivia's Sur Lípez lagoons with Chile's San Pedro de Atacama — the Rainbow Valley, the Atacama Salt Flat and El Tatio's geysers — before returning across the Altiplano to Uyuni. One night starts in Bolivia (Villamar) before the route crosses into Chile for four nights around San Pedro de Atacama (the Rainbow Valley, the Atacama Salt Flat and El Tatio Geysers), then crosses back into Bolivia for two further nights (Sol de Mañana, the Siloli Desert and San Juan) before returning to Uyuni. Every night's hotel is confirmed in whichever country you're actually in that day.

Arrival pickup in Uyuni, Bolivia, where this itinerary begins before the route crosses into Chile.

Explore Yerbas Buenas's petroglyphs and the red-and-yellow cliffs of the Rainbow Valley.
Tour the Atacama Salt Flat's lagoons — Chaxa, Miscanti and Miñiques — and the Piedras Rojas area.
A pre-dawn visit to El Tatio Geysers, then the Guatín valley oasis.
Cross back into Bolivia via the Dalí Desert, visiting Laguna Blanca, Laguna Verde and Polques hot springs.

Cross the Uyuni salt flat to Incahuasi Island's giant cacti before arriving back in Uyuni.
