Puerto Juárez, where this charter departs, isn't just a marina built for tourism — it existed as its own fishing settlement before Cancún did, operating as a separate town from around the 1960s until it was formally absorbed into the growing city around 1990. For most of the 20th century it was the main ferry crossing to Isla Mujeres, the point where cargo, supplies, and passengers all funneled across the strait long before the Hotel Zone or its own marinas existed.

The area's history actually goes back much further than that. Archaeologists have traced a Maya trading settlement near the same stretch of coast, called El Meco, to roughly 300-600 AD — a port that was already being used to communicate and trade with Isla Mujeres well over a thousand years before any modern ferry schedule existed.

Timed for sunset, the charter crosses that same narrow stretch of water — only around 10 kilometers wide at this point — as the light turns gold over the Caribbean, with the open bar running the full three hours aboard a 46-foot vessel built to comfortably hold up to 45 guests.
