Yes, for your group only.
A real, genuine iconic Hungarian soup.
No — paprika only reached Hungary in the 16th century and wasn't central to goulash until the 18th and 19th centuries. Before that, herders on the Great Hungarian Plain made a simpler dried-and-stewed beef dish without it.

About This Tour
A private tuk-tuk tour for your group only, ending with a real, genuine bowl of Hungarian goulash soup downtown. This is a private tuk-tuk tour for your group only, ending with a genuine, real bowl of Hungarian goulash soup — the country's iconic dish.
Goulash's real history starts well before it was a soup. "Gulyás" literally means cattle herder in Hungarian, from gulya, a herd of cattle, and the dish traces back to herders on the Great Hungarian Plain as early as the 10th century, who slaughtered cattle on long drives, sun-dried and seasoned the meat, and packed it into bags made from sheep stomachs to rehydrate and stew over open fires each evening on the trail.
Paprika, now the spice everyone associates with goulash, wasn't part of it at first — it only reached Hungary in the 16th century via Ottoman-controlled territory, originally descended from chili peppers brought from the Americas, and was initially grown mostly as an ornamental plant by the nobility rather than used in everyday cooking. Goulash's modern identity, with paprika front and center, really took shape in the 18th and 19th centuries, driven partly by a Magyar nationalist cultural revival against Habsburg rule that romanticized rural herding traditions, and partly by real advances in how paprika itself was grown, dried, and milled into finer grades.
A genuine bowl of it downtown, at the end of a tuk-tuk ride, is about as direct a taste of that whole history as a short tour can offer.
