Sunrise Point is one of four classic rim viewpoints on Bryce's 18-mile Rim Drive, alongside Sunset Point, Inspiration Point and Bryce Point, and it looks straight into the amphitheater where the hoodoos crowd together most densely. Bryce Canyon sits at roughly 8,000 to 9,100 feet on the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau, and its 35,835 acres hold the largest concentration of hoodoos anywhere on Earth.
Because your guide chooses the trails, the day can follow your pace: a short drop below the rim among the spires, or a longer loop if your group is fit. Trailheads on the rim begin near 8,000 feet, so even an easy-looking descent feels harder on the climb back out. Water and a slow pace matter more than speed here.
