Bhutan's full classic circuit — Thimphu, Trongsa, Bumthang, Phobjikha, Punakha, Paro, and a side trip to Haa Valley — covering the country's major dzongs, monasteries, and valleys. This tour is entirely within Bhutan, from arrival to departure at Paro International Airport.

Arrival pickup at Paro International Airport.

Day 1 — Paro to Thimphu

Arrival at Paro airport and transfer to Thimphu, with a stop at the Thimphu weekend market.

Day 2 — Thimphu

Visit the Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma viewpoint, and 12th-century Changangkha Lhakhang.

Day 3 — Thimphu to Trongsa

8-hour drive through Dochula and Pelela passes, with a stop at the 18th-century Chendbji Chorten.

Day 4 — Trongsa

Visit Trongsa Dzong (built 1648) and the Ta Dzong museum, plus a hand-woven wool factory in Chumey.

Day 5 — Jakar, Bumthang

Visit Kurje Lhakhang, Jakar Dzong, Jambay Lhakhang, and Tamshing Lhakhang (founded 1501).

Day 6 — Bumthang to Phobjikha

8-hour drive crossing Pelela Pass to Gangtey Goemba monastery, with a nature trail hike through pine forest.

Day 7 — Phobjikha to Punakha

Hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple, across the rice paddies below Punakha.

Day 8 — Punakha

Visit Punakha Dzong (built 1637), hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgel Chorten, and visit Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup nunnery.

Day 9 — Punakha to Paro

Drive via Dochula and Thimphu, visit Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum, and try traditional archery.

Day 10 — Haa Valley excursion

Full-day trip via Chele La Pass (3,988m) with views of Mount Jomolhari, visiting Haa Valley's temples.

Day 11 — Tiger's Nest hike

Hike to Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) Monastery, plus visits to Drukgyel Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang.

Day 12 — Paro & departure

Leisure time in Paro's old town before transfer to Paro Airport.
