A full day gives room to cover two settings the show used in very different ways. The CDC in season one was not the real federal headquarters, which is closed to filming for security reasons; the scenes were shot at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on Cobb Galleria Parkway. Rick's house from the pilot is on Cherokee Avenue in Atlanta.
Senoia, 35 minutes south of the city, then adds the town's role as Woodbury and its Walking Dead Museum. Actor Norman Reedus and makeup-effects producer Greg Nicotero opened Nic & Norman's, a 1930s-speakeasy-styled restaurant at 20 Main Street, which this tour includes subject to availability.
