Both museums genuinely sit on Museumplein, the square that also connects the Stedelijk Museum and the Concertgebouw concert hall - meaning the walk between the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum is a real few minutes, not a logistics challenge, which is exactly what makes combining full reserved-entry visits to both in one day practical.
