About This Tour
A private canoe tour for two, powered by a quiet electric motor so you can focus entirely on the view, with your guide sharing knowledge of Algonquin Park's natural history and HD binoculars included for wildlife spotting. This is a genuinely private sightseeing tour for two — the electric canoe and guide are exclusive to your group, not shared with other paddlers.
Algonquin Provincial Park was established on May 27, 1893, making it Ontario's oldest provincial park, and it covers about 7,600 square kilometres threaded with roughly 2,500 lakes. Its waterways have long been the main routes through the interior.
The park is bound up with Canadian art: painter Tom Thomson first came in 1912, made Algonquin his main painting ground, and died on Canoe Lake in July 1917. The pale morning light and still water you see from a canoe are what drew him.
A quiet electric motor changes the experience for photographers. With no paddle strokes or engine noise, you can drift close to shorelines at dawn or dusk, which is when moose and waterbirds are most active.
