About This Tour

An 8-day self-drive route from the flamingo colonies of Celestun to Uxmal's ruins, dolphin-watching in the Laguna de Terminos, a Merida street food tour, and the secluded lagoon village of El Cuyo. Arrival

Arrival pickup at Merida International Airport (MID).

Day 1 — Merida to Celestun

Arrival in Merida and a drive to the Gulf Coast fishing village of Celestun, with the afternoon free on the beach.

Day 2 — Yoga & a Temazcal Ceremony

A sunrise yoga session and a free morning in Celestun, followed by an evening temazcal sweat-lodge ceremony, a Mesoamerican tradition dating back roughly 1,000 years.

Day 3 — Uxmal to Campeche

A guided tour of the Uxmal archaeological site, then on to the UNESCO-listed old town of Campeche.

Day 4 — Swimming with Dolphins

A boat trip on the Laguna de Terminos to Isla Aguada, with a chance to swim alongside wild dolphins, followed by lunch on Turtle Bay's beaches.

Day 5 — A Street Food Tour of Merida

A swim at the hidden Cenote de Cumpich, then a guided street food tour of Merida's Lucas de Galvez market and beyond.

Day 6 — Izamal & Ek Balam

The ochre-colored 'Yellow City' of Izamal and its Kinich-Kakmo pyramid, then the Ek Balam ruins, before continuing to the coastal village of El Cuyo.

Day 7 — El Cuyo's Lagoon

A day at leisure on one of Mexico's least-developed beaches, with mangroves, a lagoon, and turquoise sea to explore.

Day 8 — Farewell

A final morning on the beach before the drive to Cancun International Airport for your departure flight.
