Yes, after the Falls the Niagara Falls day tour continues north to Niagara-on-the-Lake for about an hour of free time in Old Town, the heritage district centred on Queen Street's shops, cafes and restaurants. The fares cover the guided round trip from your pickup point, the stops in the itinerary and free time at Niagara Falls and in Niagara-on-the-Lake; lunch is not included. No, the Niagara City Cruises boat ride (formerly Hornblower Niagara Cruises) is not included: it is an optional extra, separate from the fares in the booking calendar. The ride lasts about 20 minutes and is seasonal, roughly spring to late autumn, when weather and water conditions allow; we found no published 2026 closing date on 12 October 2026. It boards at the foot of Clifton Hill. Maid of the Mist now sails from the U.S. side.
What is Journey Behind the Falls, and is it included?

How far is Niagara Falls from Toronto, and how long is the drive?
Niagara Falls is about 125 to 130 km from downtown Toronto, roughly a 1.5-hour drive in normal traffic. Is a Niagara Falls day tour from Toronto worth it?
For a first visit without a car, a Niagara Falls day tour from Toronto is a straightforward way to see the Falls, the Niagara Parkway and Niagara-on-the-Lake in one day, with no driving, parking or route planning. The trade-offs are a long day of about 9 hours, a fixed schedule with about 2.5 hours at the Falls, a group of other guests, and a souvenir and tasting stop. If you want more time at the Falls or a plan of your own, a private tour, the GO Train or driving yourself may suit you better.
Should I take this shared tour, a private tour, the GO Train or drive myself?
Choose this shared tour if you want a fixed plan, no driving and a per-person fare. Choose a private tour, such as Voyzo's Niagara Falls Private Tour from Toronto, for your own vehicle, door-to-door pickup and a schedule you control. The GO Train with a WEGO pass, and driving about 125 to 130 km yourself, are self-guided options where you plan the day and pay for each attraction. The comparison table on this page sets them side by side with sources and dates.
How does booking this tour work?
Choose your guests (adults, seniors and children) and your date in the booking calendar on this page, then send your request; bookings must be made at least 24 hours before the tour date. Your booking is a request until we confirm availability by email. Your booking confirmation then gives your pickup point and time and the vehicle details. The calendar shows a single 9:00 AM time: that is not your pickup time, which depends on your pickup point (about 7:55 AM to 9:00 AM).
Do I pay when I send my request?
Payment for a confirmed booking is processed securely by third-party payment processors, and your booking is a request until we confirm availability by email. We do not state a payment date on this page. Section 6 of our Terms and Conditions explains how payment works once a booking is confirmed. If you want to know exactly when and how you will be asked to pay, email info@voyzo.com before you send your request.
What is the cancellation and change policy?
You can cancel up to 24 hours before your tour date. Cancellations made with less notice may be subject to a fee. The cancellation terms that apply come with your booking confirmation; section 7 of our Terms and Conditions covers cancellations. To change your date, contact us before the 24-hour cutoff and we will do our best to reschedule, subject to availability.
Can I book for a larger group?
Each booking in the calendar accepts 0 to 10 adults, 0 to 10 seniors and 0 to 10 children, so for a larger party email info@voyzo.com with your date and numbers and we will tell you what is possible. This is a shared tour listed as 10 to 30 guests (indicative, confirmed when you book), so a large party needs checking first. If you would rather have a vehicle to yourselves, see Voyzo's Niagara Falls Private Tour from Toronto.
Which pickup point should I choose, and is there hotel or Pearson airport pickup?
Choose the pickup point closest to where you are staying. Door-to-door hotel and airport pickups are not offered on this tour: three of the six points are downtown hotels (Holiday Inn Downtown Centre, Chelsea Hotel and Sheraton Centre), and Toronto Pearson is not one of them. The calendar has no pickup selector, so tell us your preferred point when you request your date, or email info@voyzo.com with your date and point. Your check-in time is confirmed in your booking confirmation.
Can children come on the tour, and which price applies?
Yes, children below 12 can join the Niagara Falls day tour and are booked in the calendar at US$70 each; adults aged 13 and over pay US$80 and seniors aged 60 and over pay US$70. A 12-year-old falls between the two age bands, so email info@voyzo.com and we will tell you which price applies. Infants are not listed in the calendar, so email us their ages. Child or booster seats and any age limits are confirmed when your booking is confirmed, and strollers are not permitted inside Journey Behind the Falls.
Is the tour suitable for wheelchair users or limited mobility?
We cannot yet confirm that the vehicle is wheelchair accessible, so tell us about any mobility needs before you send your request and we will confirm what can be arranged. Niagara Parks lists Journey Behind the Falls, an optional extra, as partially accessible: an elevator serves an accessible tunnel and the upper deck, and the lower deck is reached by stairs. Questions about your needs? Email info@voyzo.com and we will check.
Who do I book with, and is there Wi-Fi or a washroom on board?
You book with Voyzo FZ-LLC, which remains your point of contact for booking, pricing and support: info@voyzo.com. The meeting point, departure time and vehicle details are confirmed in writing when your booking is confirmed. The supplier's listing mentions onboard Wi-Fi; we confirm vehicle features, including Wi-Fi and washroom availability, and the guide's language when your booking is confirmed.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear layers and comfortable closed shoes, and bring a light waterproof layer in any season, because the Falls' mist can leave you wet. Average daily temperature in Niagara Falls is about 22°C in July and about -4°C in January. The boat ride provides a complimentary poncho. Keep your bag small, as attractions such as Journey Behind the Falls apply bag-size limits, and bring a card or cash for lunch and any optional tickets.
Do I need a passport, and does the tour go to the American side?
The Niagara Falls day tour stays in Canada and does not cross the Canada-U.S. border, so it does not visit the American side. Guests need to be in Canada lawfully: no eTA is needed for travel within Canada, and the rules for entering Canada depend on your nationality and are your responsibility, so check canada.ca. We recommend carrying photo ID, such as your passport. The American side is a different trip.
Does the tour run in winter, and when is the best time to go?
We have not confirmed a published year-round schedule for the Niagara Falls day tour, so email us before you request a winter date; the booking calendar showed every day open for the month we checked (12 October 2026). The Floral Clock planting (May to October) and the Niagara City Cruises boat ride (roughly spring to late autumn) are seasonal, so a date from May to October falls within both seasons. In winter the Falls keep flowing and Journey Behind the Falls (an optional extra) stays open, but the Floral Clock planting and the boat ride are out of season. We confirm the stops for your date when your booking is confirmed.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The Falls can be viewed in any weather, but stop times and the boat ride can be affected. Niagara Parks says high wind or high water levels can close the boat ride, and traffic, weather or closures can move the times on this itinerary, which are indicative. We do not publish a separate bad-weather policy for this tour: the cancellation terms that apply come with your booking confirmation, and section 7 of our Terms and Conditions covers cancellations.

About this day
Most of the day is spent in three places: the Niagara Parkway along the gorge, the Falls at Table Rock and Clifton Hill, and the historic streets of Niagara-on-the-Lake. On the indicative timetable that is about 3 hours 15 minutes of driving to and from Niagara and about 5 hours 45 minutes in the Niagara region, inside the 9-hour day.
Because this is a shared tour, the stop order and timings are set for the whole group. Seasonal features change what you see: the Floral Clock is planted from May to October and the boat ride runs only in season, while Journey Behind the Falls is open year-round. Your pickup point and time are confirmed when you book.
Niagara Falls is made up of three waterfalls: the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and, on the U.S. side, the American and Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls drops about 57 metres (188 feet), and Niagara Falls Tourism promotes the Canadian side for its wide views of all three.
The Niagara Parkway follows the Niagara River for about 55 kilometres and was built between 1908 and 1931. Near its northern end, Queenston Heights is where Major-General Sir Isaac Brock was killed on 13 October 1812; Brock's Monument, completed in 1856, stands on the heights.
Niagara-on-the-Lake, about 25 minutes from the Falls, was the first capital of Upper Canada. Its historic district was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2004 for its collection of early-19th-century buildings from the years after the War of 1812.
