Overview
Highlights
-
Walk behind the Horseshoe Falls
An elevator takes you about 125 feet (38 metres) down to tunnels and viewing portals beside the Falls. Expect spray; Niagara Parks supplies raincoats. In winter the lower observation deck may be closed because of ice, so check its status for your date.
-
See the ice and spray at the brink of the Falls
Table Rock Centre stands at the brink of the Horseshoe Falls. In cold spells the spray coats rails and trees in ice, but how much there is on your date depends on the weather.
-
Fly over the Niagara River
A flying theatre inside Table Rock Centre, with motion seats, a 17-metre-wide dome screen and wind, mist and scent effects. The flight lasts about six minutes and the visit about 35 minutes.
-
Stay warm in one building
Table Rock Centre holds the entrance to Journey Behind the Falls, the Niagara Takes Flight theatre and a restaurant that operates year-round, so the plan can move between them without a drive.

Cancellation and changes
Cancel up to 24 hours before your tour date. Cancellations made with less notice may be subject to a fee. The cancellation terms that apply come with your booking confirmation; see section 7 of our Terms and Conditions. A request must reach us at least 24 hours before the tour date. To move your date, write to us before the 24-hour cutoff; a new date depends on availability.
How booking works
- Choose your group size, date and preferred start time. We need at least 24 hours' notice before your tour date.
- Send your request. Select Book now in the calendar to send a request. It is not a confirmed booking until we reply by email with availability, as soon as we can after it arrives.
- Get your trip details. After confirmation we email your pickup point and time, and your driver-guide's details, before the tour.
Reserve now, pay later. Your booking is a request until we confirm availability by email. Your card is charged 48 hours before your tour date; if you book within 48 hours of the tour, you pay when you book.
Who runs your tour
You book with Voyzo FZ-LLC. In Toronto and Niagara Falls, tours are operated using a dedicated fleet and drivers provided through Voyzo's affiliated Canadian operating company. Voyzo remains your point of contact for booking, pricing and support: info@voyzo.com.
Your group is hosted by one driver-guide who both drives the vehicle and guides the day. A separate tour guide is not included; ask us if you would like one added at extra cost.
The driver-guide and vehicle are licensed and insured.
Accessibility
Tell us about any mobility needs before you send a request, and we check with the operator what can be arranged. No wheelchair-accessible vehicle is promised until the operator confirms one for your date. Niagara Parks calls Journey Behind the Falls partially accessible: an elevator serves an accessible tunnel, the viewing portals and the upper deck, and stairs lead to the lower deck. At Niagara Takes Flight the pre-show is fully accessible. Niagara Parks lends wheelchairs at Table Rock Welcome Centre, first come first served.
Children and child seats
Children are welcome. Give us their ages and say whether you need child or booster seats, in the quote form or by email to info@voyzo.com; seats are not promised until the operator confirms them. Ontario sets child car seat and booster seat rules by a child's developmental stage, weight and height. Niagara Takes Flight sets a minimum rider height of about 100 cm (3 ft 3 in), and Journey Behind the Falls does not permit strollers.
What to wear and bring
Bring layers, a warm coat, gloves, a scarf, a hat and shoes with good grip, plus a camera. Spray can wet clothing near the Falls, and Niagara Parks supplies raincoats at Journey Behind the Falls, which does not allow bags larger than 56 × 36 × 23 cm (22 × 14 × 9 in).
Winter conditions and closures
Your driver-guide may adjust the plan for road conditions, weather, closures or safety. The lower observation deck at Journey Behind the Falls may be closed in winter because of ice, attraction hours change by season, and the boat cruise and the Floral Clock are out of season. What happens to a booking if weather stops a tour is covered by the terms that come with your booking confirmation.
Vehicles and capacity
The starting price covers up to 4 guests. A bigger group is matched to a bigger vehicle, and we confirm the vehicle type with your booking. Pick your group size in the booking calendar.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a private Niagara Falls winter tour cost?
A private Niagara Falls winter tour costs US$1,699 in total for 1 to 4 guests, rising to US$4,499 in total for 35 to 56 guests. Prices are totals in US dollars for the whole group, not per person: US$1,699 for 1 to 4 guests, US$1,999 for 5 to 6, US$2,499 for 7 to 10, US$2,999 for 11 to 14, US$3,499 for 15 to 28, US$3,999 for 29 to 34 and US$4,499 for 35 to 56 guests. No taxes are added. If four guests share the starting price, that works out to about US$425 each; it is arithmetic, not a charge, because you pay one total for the group.
What does the From US$1,699 price cover?
US$1,699 is the total for 1 to 4 guests for a private vehicle with a licensed, insured driver-guide for up to 4 hours, with door-to-door pickup and drop-off in the Niagara region or the Greater Toronto Area and all tolls, parking and fuel included. Attraction admissions, meals and gratuities are not listed as included. Time beyond the tour duration is charged additionally; ask us for the rate.
Are Journey Behind the Falls and Niagara Takes Flight tickets included?
Admissions are not listed as included in the price. Both attractions are ticketed by Niagara Parks, which lists adult admission from age 13 and child admission for ages 3 to 12. Tell us which attractions you want in the quote form or by email, and your booking confirmation says what the price covers and what you pay at each one. Niagara Parks sells timed tickets online for both: a one-hour window to join the queue for Journey Behind the Falls and a 15-minute window for Niagara Takes Flight.
How long is the tour, and does it include the drive from Toronto?
The tour runs up to 4 hours, and whether the drive from Toronto counts toward that time is confirmed when you book. Niagara Falls is about 125 to 130 km from Toronto, roughly 1.5 hours each way in normal traffic and longer at rush hour or on busy weekends (Niagara Falls Tourism). Niagara Parks gives about 60 minutes for Journey Behind the Falls and about 35 minutes for Niagara Takes Flight. If two drives count toward the 4 hours, about an hour is left in Niagara, less than the roughly 95 minutes those two stops take, so ask us before you choose a date.
What time can the tour start?
The booking calendar offers hourly start times from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (checked 13 October 2026), and you choose a preferred time when you request your date. Journey Behind the Falls opens at 9:00 AM in Niagara Parks' published hours and closes at 6:00 PM on most days from 25 October to mid-December, so we confirm a start time that fits your stops. Your exact pickup time follows by email once your booking is confirmed.
Where do you pick up, and what about the drop-off?
Door-to-door pickup and drop-off are included at your hotel, home or an airport anywhere in the Niagara region or the Greater Toronto Area (the City of Toronto plus the regions of Durham, Halton, Peel and York). We confirm your exact pickup point, pickup time and drop-off in your booking confirmation. The booking calendar has no pickup field, so tell us where your group will start by email to info@voyzo.com or in the quote form. Pickup outside those areas is quoted on request.
When will my pickup time be confirmed?
We email your exact pickup time once we confirm your booking, ahead of your tour date. The email also names your pickup point and gives your driver-guide's details. The calendar offers start times from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, but the time that suits your stops depends on attraction opening hours and on where you start, so the confirmed time can differ from the preferred time you choose. The booking calendar has no field for your pickup address, so tell us in the quote form on this page or by email to info@voyzo.com.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel up to 24 hours before your tour date. Cancellations made with less notice may be subject to a fee. The cancellation terms that apply come with your booking confirmation; section 7 of our Terms and Conditions covers cancellations. If you want to know how those terms treat winter weather, ask us before you send your request.
Can I make changes after booking?
Usually, yes. Write to us before the 24-hour cancellation cutoff and we will try to move your date or adjust the plan, depending on availability. A change that adds time beyond the tour duration is charged additionally, and we quote the extra time on request. A change made with less notice may carry a fee, and the terms that apply come with your booking confirmation.
How does booking this tour work?
Pick a group size, a date and a preferred start time in the booking calendar and select Book now to send a request; we need at least 24 hours' notice before your tour date. The calendar itself says this product is on request, so nothing is confirmed until we reply by email with availability. We then send your pickup point, pickup time and driver-guide details before the tour. Not ready to choose a date? The quote form on this page books nothing.
Can I reserve now and pay later?
Yes, you can reserve now and pay later. The calendar request does not confirm the tour; it stays a request until our email confirms availability. Third-party payment processors handle payment for a confirmed booking securely. Your card is charged 48 hours before your tour date; if you book within 48 hours of the tour, you pay when you book. If you only want a price first, the quote form on this page neither books the tour nor takes a payment.
Who guides the tour, which vehicle do we get and how many people can come?
A single driver-guide drives and guides your group, in a vehicle matched to your group size. Prices run from 1 to 56 guests and the starting price covers up to 4 guests; larger groups are matched to a larger vehicle, and we confirm the vehicle type with your booking. Choose your group size in the booking calendar; for 21 to 56 guests, choose “> 20” in the group-size list, type your group size and click outside the box to update the price (the calendar accepts up to 56). A separate tour guide is not included, but you can ask us about adding one at extra cost.
Is Niagara Falls worth visiting in winter?
It can be, if you want the Falls with ice and spray rather than boats and summer flowers. In cold spells spray freezes into ice on rails, rocks and trees, and small glacier-like formations build up in the gorge (Niagara Parks), but how much ice there is depends on the weather. Journey Behind the Falls and Niagara Takes Flight stay open, while the boat cruise and the Floral Clock are out of season. Niagara Falls Tourism lists winter temperatures from about 5°C in December to -15°C in January and February.
Does Niagara Falls freeze, and will there be ice on our date?
Niagara Falls does not freeze solid, and ice on your date is a possibility, not a promise. Niagara Parks says the water keeps flowing under a crust of ice, and the American Falls look more frozen because they receive only about 7% of the Niagara River's flow. The ice bridge below the Falls usually forms in winters with mostly sub-zero days, and the public has not been allowed on it since 1912. We cannot predict ice for a given week.
What is open at Niagara Falls in winter, and what is closed?
Journey Behind the Falls, Niagara Takes Flight and Skylon Tower are open all year, while the Falls boat cruise and the Floral Clock are seasonal. As checked on 13 October 2026, Niagara Parks' published 2026 hours had Journey Behind the Falls closing at 6:00 PM from 25 October to mid-December (7:00 PM on Saturdays), boat sailings daily to 28 November, reduced sailings from 29 November to 28 December and none listed from 29 December to 24 April 2027 (preliminary). The Floral Clock shows from May to October.
Is Journey Behind the Falls open in winter, and is the lower deck open?
Journey Behind the Falls is open all year, but its lower observation deck may be closed in winter. Niagara Parks said in April 2019 that the lower deck closes during the winter months because of the build-up of ice, and its attraction page did not mention a winter closure when we checked on 13 October 2026, so we cannot confirm the deck's status for your date. An elevator serves an accessible tunnel, the viewing portals and the upper deck; stairs lead to the lower deck. Expect spray: Niagara Parks supplies raincoats.
What is Niagara Takes Flight, and how long does it take?
Niagara Takes Flight is a flying-theatre ride on the second floor of Table Rock Centre, open to the public from 29 August 2025. Guests sit in motion seats in front of a 17-metre-wide domed screen while wind, mist and scent effects accompany footage of the Niagara River. The flight itself lasts about six minutes and the whole visit about 35 minutes with the pre-show rooms. Niagara Parks sets a minimum rider height of about 100 cm (3 ft 3 in) and lists the attraction as open all year.
Does the Niagara Falls boat cruise run in winter, and is it included?
The boat cruise is not part of this tour, and it is seasonal. The Voyage to the Falls from Niagara City Cruises takes about 20 minutes and runs weather permitting. In 2026 Niagara Parks' published hours showed daily sailings to 28 November, reduced sailings from 29 November to 28 December and none listed from 29 December to 24 April 2027 (preliminary; checked 13 October 2026), and Niagara Falls Tourism says it stays open to 31 December if the weather cooperates. Check your date before you rely on a sailing.
Can we see the Falls lit up or the Winter Festival of Lights?
The Falls are lit every night of the year. Niagara Falls Tourism lists the Winter Festival of Lights from 14 November 2026 to 10 January 2027 and says more updates are to come. Niagara Parks' schedule has the Falls lights come on at 4:30 PM in November and December and 5:00 PM in January. The festival's free light displays run nightly from 5:00 PM to midnight, and Niagara Falls Tourism lists fireworks over the Falls on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 PM from November to December (checked 13 October 2026). This is a daytime outing; for an evening plan see our private Niagara Falls Night Tour.
What should we wear to Niagara Falls in winter?
Dress in layers: a warm coat, sweaters, gloves, a scarf and a hat, as Niagara Falls Tourism advises, and add a waterproof outer layer and shoes with good grip. Environment Canada's 1981-2010 normals put the average January day near -4°C. Spray from the Falls can wet clothing, Niagara Parks supplies raincoats at Journey Behind the Falls, and bags larger than 56 × 36 × 23 cm are not allowed there.
Can I book this tour outside winter?
The booking calendar accepts requests for any date, not only winter ones: on 13 October 2026 every day from 14 October through at least July 2027 was open. This page describes the tour in winter, so tell us your date and we confirm which stops apply. The boat cruise runs seasonally (typically spring to late autumn, weather permitting) and the Floral Clock shows from May to October; neither is part of this tour.
Is the maple syrup tasting included?
The suggested itinerary in our booking system includes a seasonal Ontario maple syrup tasting, but we have not fixed its venue, how long it takes or whether the tasting is free, so we cannot yet say it is included; your booking confirmation says. Ontario's maple syrup season usually begins in March and runs until the sap stops flowing (Destination Ontario), so syrup tasted from November to January was made earlier.
Can we bring children, and are child seats available?
Children are welcome. Niagara Parks lists child admission for ages 3 to 12 at both attractions, sets a minimum rider height of about 100 cm for Niagara Takes Flight and does not permit strollers inside Journey Behind the Falls. Send us the children's ages and say whether you need child or booster seats, in the quote form or by email; seats are not promised until the operator confirms them. Ontario sets child car seat and booster seat rules by a child's developmental stage, weight and height.
Is the tour suitable for wheelchair users or limited mobility?
Parts of it are, but no wheelchair-accessible vehicle is promised until the operator confirms one for your date. Niagara Parks calls Journey Behind the Falls partially accessible: an elevator serves an accessible tunnel and the upper deck, while the lower deck needs stairs. At Niagara Takes Flight the pre-show is fully accessible, and guests who cannot transfer to a flying-theatre seat can watch a flattened version of the film from an accessible room. Email info@voyzo.com with your needs.
Is a private winter tour worth it compared with a shared tour or the GO Train?
It depends on what you value: a private tour is one total for your group only, while a shared tour and the GO Train are priced per person. Niagara Parks listed a GO Train plus WEGO one-day package at CAD $34 on weekdays and CAD $22 on weekends (checked 13 October 2026), and parking at Table Rock Centre is paid. If you drive in winter, Ontario.ca recommends four winter tires and checking Ontario 511. The comparison table on this page sets the options side by side.
Do I need a passport or visa for this tour?
This tour stays in Canada and does not cross the border, and Canada says no eTA is needed for travel within Canada. Bring photo ID as a sensible precaution. Entry rules for your own journey into Canada, such as a visa or an eTA for air travel, are your responsibility, so check the Government of Canada website before you fly.

About the private Niagara Falls winter tour
The plan is built around Table Rock Welcome Centre, Niagara Parks' visitor centre at the brink of the Horseshoe Falls. The entrance to Journey Behind the Falls is on its first floor and Niagara Takes Flight is on its second, so the plan can move between them without a drive, which matters on a cold day. Niagara Parks lists a restaurant in the building that operates year-round.
What changes in winter is mostly seasonal: the boat cruise and the Floral Clock are out of season, Journey Behind the Falls closes earlier than in summer, and the Falls are lit from late afternoon. Dates and hours are set by each attraction and can change; the season guide in the itinerary reflects the linked sources as checked on 13 October 2026.
Journey Behind the Falls is cut into the rock beside the Horseshoe Falls. Niagara Parks says the first tunnels were blasted in 1889, the concrete-lined tunnel used today dates from 1944 and the observation deck was built in 1951. An elevator takes visitors down about 125 feet (38 metres), and Niagara Parks says the attraction stays open year-round, including during its multi-year improvements.
Niagara Takes Flight opened on 29 August 2025 inside Table Rock Welcome Centre, Niagara Parks' visitor centre at the brink of the Horseshoe Falls. Guests sit in motion seats in front of a 17-metre-wide domed screen, with wind, mist and scent effects, for a 56-kilometre flight over the Niagara River filmed with custom-built drones.
Ontario's maple syrup season usually begins in March and runs until the sap stops flowing, so syrup tasted in winter was made earlier in the year. Canadian maple syrup is graded by colour into four classes: Golden, Amber, Dark and Very Dark.
