Overview

Highlights

  • Walk the Horseshoe Falls viewpoints

Take your time at the Canadian Falls from Queen Victoria Park and Table Rock, where the Horseshoe Falls drops about 57 metres.

  • Ride down to the Niagara Parks Power Station tunnel

Tour the restored generator hall of a hydroelectric station that opened in 1905, then take a glass elevator 180 feet down to a 2,200-foot tunnel that ends at an open-air platform at the base of the Horseshoe Falls. Allow about two hours.

  • Take the elevator to the White Water Walk

Descend 70 metres to a self-guided boardwalk beside the Whirlpool Rapids, which Niagara Parks classes as Class 6. It is seasonal (Niagara Parks: April to November; its 2026 hours show it open to 1 November); allow about an hour.

  • Step into the Butterfly Conservatory

Walk through a glass-enclosed garden where more than 2,000 butterflies fly freely. Allow 30 to 60 minutes; it closes for annual maintenance each winter.

  • Stroll Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake

Walk Queen Street in a National Historic Site of Canada district of buildings from 1815 to 1859, with a winery tasting as an optional stop.

  • Add Journey Behind the Falls when time allows

Optional: an elevator ride 125 feet down to a tunnel and viewing portals beside the Horseshoe Falls. It is open all year and partially accessible; stairs lead to the lower deck.

Who it suits

  • First-time visitors who want more than the Falls

The Falls viewpoints, the Power Station tunnel to the base of the Horseshoe Falls, the gorge and Niagara-on-the-Lake fit into a 10-hour day. See the sample itinerary.

  • Families with time to spare

Children are welcome; tell us their ages. The White Water Walk permits strollers and Journey Behind the Falls does not. Child seats are confirmed by the operator before your tour, not promised.

  • Couples and small groups

1 to 4 guests share one total of US$1,499, about US$375 each for four. The longer day costs more than the standard private tour, so choose it for the hours rather than the headcount.

  • Friends, teams and larger groups

Groups of 5 to 56 are matched to a larger vehicle, with one total for the whole group. The FAQ on group size explains how to enter 21 to 56 guests in the calendar.

  • Winter visitors

The Power Station and Journey Behind the Falls are open in winter, Niagara-on-the-Lake can be walked, and the Falls are lit from late afternoon. The White Water Walk and the boat are seasonal.

  • Visitors with limited mobility

Niagara Parks lists the Power Station as fully accessible and the Butterfly Conservatory as accessible; the White Water Walk and Journey Behind the Falls are partially accessible. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle is not promised until confirmed.

Custom Niagara Falls day tour: sample 10-hour plan

This is a sample 10-hour plan, not a fixed schedule. You choose the stops, and we confirm the plan by email. Actual timings vary with traffic, season, pickup location and how long your group lingers. Stop lengths follow Niagara Parks' own visit estimates where it gives one (the Butterfly Conservatory is set at 45 minutes within its 30 to 60); the Falls viewpoints and Niagara-on-the-Lake are our planning allowances.

  1. Hour 0:00

    Pickup in the GTA

Your driver-guide collects you at your hotel, home or Toronto Pearson. The calendar offers hourly starts between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM; a 10-hour day that begins at 8:00 AM ends about 6:00 PM.

  2. Hours 0:00–1:30

    Drive to Niagara

About 1.5 hours by the QEW in normal traffic, depending on where you start. Niagara Falls Tourism says travel time can double at rush hour or on busy weekends.

  3. Hours 1:30–4:30

Horseshoe Falls viewpoints and the Niagara Parks Power Station

About an hour at the Horseshoe Falls viewpoints in Queen Victoria Park and at Table Rock, then the Niagara Parks Power Station, a short distance upstream on the Parkway: the restored generator hall, a glass elevator 180 feet down and a 2,200-foot tunnel to an open-air platform at the base of the Horseshoe Falls. Niagara Parks suggests about two hours.

  4. Hours 4:30–5:30

White Water Walk (April to November)

An elevator takes you 70 metres down to a self-guided boardwalk beside the Whirlpool Rapids. Allow about an hour. It runs seasonally, and we confirm it is open on your date; when it is closed, this hour can go to Journey Behind the Falls, which is open all year, or to more time at the Falls.

  5. Hours 5:30–6:15

    Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory

A self-guided walk through a glass-enclosed garden where more than 2,000 butterflies from more than 40 species fly freely. Niagara Parks' own pages give about 30 to 60 minutes. It closes for annual maintenance each winter; in 2026 it was closed from 5 January until it reopened on 13 February.

  6. Hours 6:15–7:45

    Niagara-on-the-Lake

Old Town and Queen Street, in a National Historic Site of Canada district of buildings from 1815 to 1859, with time to eat (meals are not included) and, if you like, a winery tasting; guests must be 19 or older to taste.

  7. Hours 7:45–9:15

    Return to the GTA

About 1.5 hours back, traffic permitting. Rush-hour and weekend traffic can add time.

  8. By hour 10:00

    Drop-off

Back at your hotel, home or the airport. The last 45 minutes are a buffer for traffic, parking and moves between stops. An 8-hour day drops the Butterfly Conservatory and Niagara-on-the-Lake; a 12-hour day adds about two hours for Journey Behind the Falls, a longer meal or the Falls after dark.

Sample 10-hour route — not to scale

Your GTA pickup about 1.5 h via the QEW Falls and Power Station 3 h at the Falls and Power Station White Water Walk 1 h at the White Water Walk Butterfly Conservatory 45 min at the Conservatory Niagara-on-the-Lake 90 min, then about 1.5 h back
Optional stops
  • Journey Behind the Falls. An elevator takes you 125 feet down to a tunnel and viewing portals beside the Horseshoe Falls; allow about an hour including the queue. Open all year, and Niagara Parks says it stays open during a multi-year upgrade, so parts of the site may be affected by the work (checked 13 October 2026). Partially accessible; strollers are not permitted.
  • Whirlpool Aero Car. A cable car that has crossed the Niagara Whirlpool in the gorge since 1916, designed by the Spanish engineer Leonardo Torres Quevedo. Niagara Parks lists it from April to November, weather permitting.
  • Boat cruise. The Voyage to the Falls boat ride from Niagara City Cruises (formerly Hornblower Niagara Cruises) lasts about 20 minutes and is seasonal, typically spring to late autumn and only when weather and water conditions allow.
  • Floral Clock. On the Parkway toward Queenston: a planted face about 12 metres (40 feet) across, changed twice a year and on show from May to October.
  • Queenston Heights. Where Major-General Sir Isaac Brock was killed in the Battle of Queenston Heights on 13 October 1812. We plan it as a drive-by on the way to Niagara-on-the-Lake and do not promise access to Brock's Monument.
  • Winery tasting. A tasting in Niagara-on-the-Lake adds time. Guests must be 19 or older to taste, and winery hours vary by season. Your driver-guide does the driving.
Late-start and evening variant

A day that starts at 8:00 AM and runs 12 hours ends about 8:00 PM. If the plan ends at the Falls, that day can include the lit Falls from November to about mid-March, when Niagara Parks lists lights-on between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM, but not in midsummer, when the lights come on at 8:30 PM. The latest start in the calendar is 3:00 PM, which makes for a night return. For an evening-focused plan, see our separate Niagara Falls Night Tour.

Tickets, seasons & itinerary changes
  • How the hours add up (arithmetic, traffic permitting): about 3 hours of driving, then stop times. An 8-hour day fits the Falls viewpoints (about 1 hour), the Power Station (about 2 hours) and the White Water Walk (about 1 hour) with a short buffer. A 9-hour day adds the Butterfly Conservatory (30 to 60 minutes). A 10-hour day adds Niagara-on-the-Lake (about 90 minutes) and a 45-minute buffer. A 12-hour day has about 2 more hours for Journey Behind the Falls (about 1 hour), a longer meal, a winery or the Falls after dark.
  • Attraction tickets are not included in the tour price; admission is paid at each attraction. Which stops use timed entry is explained under Tickets and timed entry in Good to know.
  • Stops can be changed before the tour, or on the day with your driver-guide, as long as the plan still fits your day. Traffic, weather, closures or safety can also change the plan.

Good to know

Cancellation and changes

You can cancel up to 24 hours before your tour date. Cancellations made with less notice may be subject to a fee. The cancellation terms that apply come with your booking confirmation; see section 7 of our Terms and Conditions. We need at least 24 hours' notice to book a tour date. Want a different date? Contact us before the 24-hour cutoff and we will try to reschedule, subject to availability.

How the hours work

The tour runs 8 to 12 hours from pickup to drop-off, including about 3 hours of driving to and from Niagara in normal traffic. Tell us how long you want by email to info@voyzo.com or in the quote form on this page, and we confirm the length of your day in your booking confirmation. The booking calendar shows one price per group size and has no length option. Time beyond the length we confirm is charged extra; the extra-hour rate is not published, so request a custom quote.

How booking works
  1. Pick your group size, date and start time. We need at least 24 hours' notice. The calendar offers hourly starts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  2. Send your request. Use the calendar's Book now button. It sends a request, not a confirmed booking; you can reserve now and pay later.
  3. Tell us your stops. Email your pickup address, the stops you want and any time you need to be back to info@voyzo.com, or put them in the message box of the quote form on this page.
  4. Get your confirmation. We confirm availability and your stops by email, then send your exact pickup time and your driver-guide's details before the tour.

Reserve now, pay later. Your booking is a request until we confirm availability by email. Your card is charged 48 hours before your tour date; if you book within 48 hours of the tour, you pay when you book.

Who runs your tour

You book with Voyzo FZ-LLC. In Toronto and Niagara Falls, tours are operated using a dedicated fleet and drivers provided through Voyzo's affiliated Canadian operating company. Voyzo remains your point of contact for booking, pricing and support: info@voyzo.com.

One driver-guide drives the vehicle and guides your day. A separate tour guide is not included; ask us whether one can be arranged and what it would cost.

The driver-guide and vehicle are licensed and insured.

Tickets and timed entry

Attraction tickets are not included; admission is paid at each attraction. Niagara Parks sells tickets online and on site. The White Water Walk offers Timed or Anytime entry, the Butterfly Conservatory sells anytime general admission and Power Station general admission does not have to be pre-booked (per Niagara Parks). Tell us which stops you want, by email to info@voyzo.com or in the quote form on this page, and we tell you which ones use timed entry.

Seasons and attraction hours

Attractions set their own hours, and they change through the year. The Power Station and Journey Behind the Falls are open all year, the White Water Walk runs from spring to early November, and the Butterfly Conservatory closes for annual maintenance each winter (in 2026, from 5 January until it reopened on 13 February). We confirm which of your chosen stops are open on your date; the dated table in the Itinerary section lists the sources.

Accessibility

Tell us about any mobility needs before you book. Niagara Parks lists the Power Station as fully accessible, with benches and a wheelchair on loan inside, and the Butterfly Conservatory as accessible. The White Water Walk is partially accessible and permits strollers. Journey Behind the Falls is partially accessible: an elevator serves an accessible tunnel, and stairs lead to the lower deck. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle is not promised until the operator confirms it for your date. Questions? Email info@voyzo.com.

Children and child seats

Children are welcome. Give us their ages and say whether you need child or booster seats by emailing info@voyzo.com or in the quote form on this page; seats are not promised until the operator confirms them. Strollers are permitted at the White Water Walk and not permitted inside Journey Behind the Falls.

What to bring and the weather

Bring a camera, comfortable shoes and layers; the Falls' mist can leave you damp in any season. Daily highs average about 27 degrees Celsius in July and about 0 degrees in January (Environment Canada's 1981 to 2010 normals for the Niagara Falls station). Carry photo ID, and tell us by email or in the quote form if you need to be back by a set time.

Group size and vehicle

Groups of 1 to 56 guests are welcome. We match the vehicle to your group size and confirm it when we confirm your booking. The group size you choose should count everyone riding in the vehicle, children included.

Frequently asked questions

How much does the custom Niagara Falls day tour from Toronto cost?

It costs US$1,499 in total for 1 to 4 guests and up to US$3,999 in total for 35 to 56 guests, in US dollars with no added taxes and all tolls, parking and fuel included. Prices are totals for the whole group, not per person: US$1,499 for 1 to 4 guests, US$1,799 for 5 to 6, US$1,999 for 7 to 10, US$2,499 for 11 to 14, US$2,999 for 15 to 28, US$3,499 for 29 to 34 and US$3,999 for 35 to 56 guests. The booking calendar shows one price per group size and has no length option; attraction tickets and meals are not included.

What does the price include, and what is extra?

The price is the total for one private day of 8 to 12 hours for your group. It covers a licensed, insured driver-guide, pickup and drop-off anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), all tolls, parking and fuel, and a plan built around the stops you choose. It does not cover attraction tickets, meals, gratuities, a separate tour guide, pickup outside the GTA or hours beyond the length of your day.

How long is the tour, and when does it start and end?

The tour runs 8 to 12 hours from pickup to drop-off, and we confirm the length of your day in your booking confirmation. The booking calendar offers hourly start times from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A 10-hour day that starts at 8:00 AM ends about 6:00 PM, and a 12-hour day ends about 8:00 PM, so a late start means a late return. Time beyond the length we confirm is charged extra; the rate is not published, so request a custom quote.

Where do you pick up, and can you collect us from Toronto Pearson?

Yes, pickup and drop-off at Toronto Pearson International Airport (in Mississauga) are included in the Greater Toronto Area pickup area, along with your hotel or home. That area is the City of Toronto and the regions of Durham, Halton, Peel and York. Pearson is about 125 km, or roughly 1.5 hours in normal traffic, from the Falls. For an airport pickup, email your flight times to info@voyzo.com or add them to the message box of the quote form on this page. Pickup outside the GTA is not included, so request a custom quote. We confirm your address and pickup time by email.

What is the cancellation policy?

You can cancel up to 24 hours before your tour date. Cancellations made with less notice may be subject to a fee. The cancellation terms that apply come with your booking confirmation; section 7 of our Terms and Conditions covers cancellations. To change your date, contact us before the cutoff and we will try to reschedule, subject to availability.

How does booking this tour work?

You book by sending a request from the calendar: pick your group size, a date and a preferred start time, then use the calendar's “Book now” button. We need at least 24 hours' notice. Nothing is confirmed until we confirm availability by email, and you can reserve now and pay later. We then confirm your stops and email your exact pickup time and your driver-guide's details. Your card is charged 48 hours before your tour date; if you book within 48 hours of the tour, you pay when you book.

When will my pickup time be confirmed?

Once we confirm your booking by email, we send your exact pickup time, the vehicle and your driver-guide's details ahead of your tour date. The start time you pick in the calendar is a preference. If you need to be back by a set time, for example for a flight or a dinner, email info@voyzo.com after you request your date, or add it to the message box of the quote form on this page, and we will tell you whether the plan can fit.

Can I make changes after booking?

Usually, yes. Contact us before the 24-hour cancellation cutoff and we will try to change your date, your stops or the length of your day, subject to availability. Anything that makes the day longer is charged as extra time. Changes closer to the tour date may not be possible, so ask as early as you can.

How much is the tour per person?

The tour has one total per group, so the per-person figure depends on how full the vehicle is: about US$750 each for two guests, US$500 for three and US$375 for four. For bigger groups it works out to about US$300 each with 6, US$200 with 10, US$178 with 14, US$107 with 28, US$103 with 34 and US$71 with 56. These figures are arithmetic, not a per-person price: you pay one total.

How is the custom day different from your standard private Niagara tour?

The custom day is longer: it runs 8 to 12 hours, while the standard private tour runs up to 8 hours. After about 3 hours of driving, that leaves roughly 5 to 9 hours in Niagara instead of at most about 5, enough for stops that need hours, such as the Power Station. Pickup, privacy and the freedom to change stops are the same on both. This day costs US$200 to US$500 more depending on group size, so if 8 hours is enough for your group, the standard tour is the closer fit.

Is a custom day worth it compared with a shared tour or the GO Train?

A custom day suits you if you want more than about 5 hours in Niagara, while a per-person option such as a shared tour or the GO Train can cost less for a small group. For example, the GO Train plus a one-day WEGO bus pass is CAD $34 on weekdays and CAD $22 on weekends (Niagara Parks, checked 12 October 2026). A private day costs more in total but gives you your own vehicle and driver-guide, pickup at your door and roughly 5 to 9 hours in Niagara on a plan you set. The comparison table on this page sets the options side by side.

Can you fit the Power Station, White Water Walk and Butterfly Conservatory into one day, and how many hours do you need?

Plan on about 8 hours for the Falls viewpoints, the Power Station and the White Water Walk, about 9 with the Butterfly Conservatory and about 10 with Niagara-on-the-Lake as well. That adds the drive, about 1.5 hours each way according to Niagara Falls Tourism, to Niagara Parks' own visit lengths: about 2 hours for the Power Station, 1 hour for the White Water Walk and 30 to 60 minutes for the Conservatory. The Falls viewpoints and Niagara-on-the-Lake are our planning allowances of about 1 hour and 90 minutes. A 12-hour day adds about 2 more hours.

Can we choose, skip or reorder stops?

Yes. You choose the stops, and the order can change within the length of your day. Tell us which ones matter most by email or in the quote form on this page. We confirm the plan, and which of your stops are open, by email before the day. Your driver-guide can also adjust the plan on the day for traffic, weather, closures or safety. Seasonal stops, timed tickets and attraction hours are confirmed for your date rather than assumed.

Who runs the tour, and who guides it?

You book with Voyzo FZ-LLC, and Voyzo stays your point of contact for booking, pricing and support. In Toronto and Niagara Falls, tours are operated using a dedicated fleet and drivers provided through Voyzo's affiliated Canadian operating company. One licensed, insured driver-guide drives the vehicle and guides your day. A separate tour guide is not included; ask us whether one can be arranged.

How many people can come, and which vehicle do we get?

A private group can be anywhere from 1 to 56 guests, and we match the vehicle to your group size and confirm it when we confirm your booking. Choose your group size in the booking calendar; for 21 to 56 guests, choose “> 20” in the group-size list, type your group size and click outside the box so the price updates (the calendar accepts up to 56). Choose a group size that counts everyone riding in the vehicle, children included, because the price follows the number of guests. How infants count towards the group size is not published on this page, so if you are travelling with an infant, email info@voyzo.com or add it to the quote form on this page, and the operator confirms what is possible before your tour.

Can we bring children, and are child seats available?

Yes, children are welcome. Give us their ages and say whether you need child or booster seats by emailing info@voyzo.com or in the quote form on this page; we cannot promise seats until the operator confirms them for your date. Ontario sets child car seat and booster rules by a child's age, weight and height. On this route the White Water Walk permits strollers, but Journey Behind the Falls does not.

Is the tour suitable for wheelchair users or limited mobility?

Several stops are accessible, but a wheelchair-accessible vehicle is not promised until the operator confirms it for your date. Niagara Parks lists the Power Station as fully accessible, with a wheelchair available inside on a first-come basis, and the Butterfly Conservatory as accessible; the White Water Walk and Journey Behind the Falls are partially accessible, with stairs to the lower deck at Journey Behind the Falls. Tell us about any mobility needs before you book, by email to info@voyzo.com or in the quote form on this page.

Are attraction tickets included, and can we add the boat or other extras?

Attraction tickets are not included: admission is paid at each attraction, and Niagara Parks sells tickets online and on site. Extras such as Journey Behind the Falls, the Whirlpool Aero Car, the boat cruise or a winery tasting add time to your day. The booking calendar does not list extras, so email us what you would like (info@voyzo.com, or the quote form on this page) and we confirm availability and the price by email.

How long does the Niagara Parks Power Station take, and how is it different from Journey Behind the Falls?

Niagara Parks suggests about two hours for the Power Station, which it lists as open year-round, with the platform and tunnel sometimes limited in bad weather. It is a restored generator hall plus a 2,200-foot tunnel, reached by a glass elevator 180 feet down, that ends at an open-air platform at the base of the Horseshoe Falls. Journey Behind the Falls, at Table Rock, takes an elevator 125 feet down to portals behind the falling water.

Is the White Water Walk open when we travel?

The White Water Walk is seasonal: Niagara Parks lists April to November, weather permitting, and its published 2026 hours showed it open daily to 1 November and closed from 2 November (checked 13 October 2026). An elevator takes you 70 metres down to a self-guided boardwalk beside the Whirlpool Rapids, which Niagara Parks classes as Class 6; allow about an hour. It is partially accessible and permits strollers. We confirm it is open on your date.

Is the Butterfly Conservatory open all year, and how long does it take?

The Butterfly Conservatory is open year-round apart from annual maintenance, which closed it from 5 January until it reopened on 13 February in 2026, so check your travel date. Allow 30 to 60 minutes: Niagara Parks' attraction page says about 60 minutes and its tour study guide says about 30 minutes to walk through. Niagara Parks lists it as self-guided, with anytime general admission, and reports more than 2,000 butterflies from more than 40 species.

Can we add Niagara-on-the-Lake and a winery?

Yes, Niagara-on-the-Lake is a stop in the 10-hour sample day. It is about 25 minutes from the Falls and about 90 minutes from Toronto, and its Old Town is a National Historic Site of Canada district of buildings from 1815 to 1859. A winery tasting is optional and adds time. Guests must be 19 or older to taste, winery hours vary by season, and your driver-guide does the driving, so nobody needs to be the designated driver.

Can we do this tour in winter?

Yes, you can request winter dates, and we confirm availability by email. The Power Station, Journey Behind the Falls and the Falls viewpoints are open year-round and Niagara-on-the-Lake can be walked, but the White Water Walk, the boat cruise and the Floral Clock display are seasonal and the Butterfly Conservatory closes for annual maintenance each winter. Daylight is short, with sunset about 4:40 PM in mid-December, so dress in layers and plan for an early dusk.

Can we see the Falls lit up on a long day?

Yes in the colder months if the plan ends at the Falls, but usually not in midsummer. Niagara Parks lists the Falls illumination nightly all year, with lights on at 4:30 PM in November and December, 5:00 PM in January and 8:30 PM from 15 May to 31 July. The 2026 fireworks series ran nightly at 10:00 PM from 15 May to 12 October, and 2027 dates had not been published when we checked on 12 October 2026. The Winter Festival of Lights runs from 14 November 2026 to 10 January 2027.

Do I need a passport or visa for this tour?

The tour stays in Canada and does not cross the border, so you need only the documents that let you be in Canada, and it is sensible to carry photo ID. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada says an eTA is not needed for travel within Canada. The U.S. side of the Falls is a different tour. Check canada.ca for your nationality before you travel.

About the custom Niagara Falls day tour

This day is for guests who find a standard Niagara outing too short. The Falls viewpoints, the Niagara Parkway and Niagara-on-the-Lake fill a day of up to 8 hours; the Niagara Parks Power Station, the White Water Walk and the Butterfly Conservatory need extra hours that a 9, 10 or 12 hour day can give. Where the standard private tour is already enough, choose that one instead.

Seasons shape the plan. The White Water Walk runs from spring to early November, and the boat cruise and the Floral Clock display are seasonal, while the Power Station, Journey Behind the Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake stay open in winter, when the Falls are lit from late afternoon.

The Niagara Parks Power Station opened in 1905 as a hydroelectric generating station and stopped generating in the mid-2000s. Niagara Parks reopened it to visitors in 2021 and opened its tunnel to the public in 2022, and describes it as the only fully intact, decommissioned hydroelectric power station of its era in the world. In the evening it reopens for a separate night experience that is booked with Niagara Parks and is not part of this tour.

The Butterfly Conservatory opened in 1996. Niagara Parks reports more than 2,000 butterflies from more than 40 species flying freely in a glass-enclosed garden, and describes it as one of the largest glass-enclosed butterfly conservatories in North America.

The White Water Walk is a self-guided boardwalk at the foot of the Niagara Gorge, reached by a 70-metre elevator. A steam-powered incline railway carried visitors to the river's edge from the late 1800s, and Niagara Parks took over the attraction in 1967.
