Niagara Falls evening tour itinerary, hour by hour (summer timetable)
Autumn and winter evenings (13 Oct 2026 to early Jan 2027)
- The Falls are lit nightly: from about 6:00 PM in late October and from 4:30 PM from 1 November. No fireworks are scheduled from 13 October to 13 November (the 2026 series ended on 12 October).
- The Winter Festival of Lights runs from 14 November 2026 to 10 January 2027, with free displays nightly; Niagara Falls Tourism also lists Friday and Saturday fireworks at 8 PM, which this tour does not promise.
- The 6:30 PM boat is not on Niagara Parks' autumn hours (daytime only), Journey Behind the Falls closes at 6 PM on most days from late October to mid-December, and the sun sets at about 5:10 PM or earlier from 1 November, so we confirm your date's running order when you book.
These dates may be out of date. Check the month-by-month table and its sources, or ask us.
Indicative: we confirm the details in your booking confirmation. These clock times are the summer running order; see the autumn and winter box, and we confirm your date's order when you book. (checked 12 Oct 2026)

-

In season, the Niagara City Cruises Voyage to the Falls: a boat ride of about 20 minutes to the base of the Horseshoe Falls, weather permitting. After sunset boats sail only to the outer edge of the Falls. When the boat is not operating, Journey Behind the Falls is the planned stand-in where its published hours allow, but not at this clock time: it closes at 6 PM on most days from late October to mid-December. The illuminated Falls, and fireworks on nights they are scheduled
The Falls are lit in changing colours every night of the year. Fireworks are seasonal: the 2026 Niagara Parks series ran nightly at 10:00 PM from 15 May to 12 October, and Niagara Falls Tourism lists winter fireworks on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 PM from November to December. On dates without a 10:00 PM show the running order differs, and we confirm it when you book.
-
About 11:30 PM to 12:00 AM
Drop-off at your hotel
Back at the hotel where you boarded, traffic permitting. The drive from Niagara Falls to Toronto takes about 1.5 hours in normal traffic, and the exact time for your hotel is confirmed with your booking.
This is the summer running order from the tour's listed timetable. From 1 November to mid-January the sun sets at about 5:10 PM or earlier, so the stops from the Whirlpool onward fall at dusk or after dark, and Niagara City Cruises' published boat hours are daytime only. The listed timetable has no separate winter version, so we confirm the running order for your date when your booking is confirmed.
Niagara Falls Tourism puts the drive from Toronto at around an hour and a half and notes that it can take much longer at rush hour and on busy weekends.

What the Niagara Falls evening tour looks like on your date
The clock times in the itinerary are a summer running order. What you see depends on the month: the Falls are lit every night, but the fireworks and the boat ride are seasonal, and from November to January the sun sets before the Whirlpool stop. Everything below was checked on 12 October 2026 and can change; where a 2027 date has not been published, the guide says so instead of guessing.

| Item | When | Notes | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Falls illumination | Every night, all year | Niagara Parks' published schedule lights the Falls from 4:30 PM in November and December, 5:00 PM in January and 8:30 PM from 15 May to 31 July, and the lights stay on until 1 or 2 AM. On some nights a single colour marks a charity or awareness date, and which colours appear is not predictable. | niagaraparks.com |
| Fireworks over the Falls | Seasonal | The 2026 Niagara Parks series ran nightly at 10:00 PM from 15 May to 12 October, weather permitting, and a normal show lasts about 5 minutes. No 2027 dates had been published on 12 October 2026. Strong winds can cancel a show. | niagaraparks.com |
| Winter Festival of Lights | 14 November 2026 to 10 January 2027 | Free light displays nightly from 5:00 PM to midnight. Niagara Falls Tourism lists winter fireworks over the Falls on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 PM from November to December; confirm on the night. | niagarafallstourism.com |
| Boat ride (Niagara City Cruises) | Seasonal, weather permitting | Niagara City Cruises runs the Canadian-side boat, and the Maid of the Mist now sails from the U.S. side. The ride takes about 20 minutes. In 2026 the published hours were longest from mid-May to early September, daytime only from mid-October, reduced from late November, and there were no sailings from early January to spring. Sources disagree on when the boat stops for the winter. When the boat is not operating, Journey Behind the Falls is the planned stand-in where its published hours allow. | niagaraparks.com |
| Journey Behind the Falls | Open all year | Published 2026 hours ran to 10 PM in July and August, to about 7 PM in mid-October and to 6 PM from late October to mid-December (7 PM on Saturdays). Niagara Parks says the attraction stays open during its multi-year upgrade. | niagaraparks.com |
| Sunset | Earlier from 1 November | Ontario's clocks go back on Sunday 1 November 2026, so sunset in Niagara Falls moves from about 6:09 PM on 31 October to about 5:08 PM on 1 November and is about 4:42 PM in mid-December. Toronto's sunset times differ by only a few minutes. | aa.usno.navy.mil |

Restaurants at the Falls serve into the evening; for example, the Table Rock House Restaurant at Niagara Parks' Table Rock Centre and Skylon Tower's Revolving Dining Room, which serves dinner from 6 PM to 10 PM (Skylon Tower, checked 12 October 2026). Cancellation and changes
You can cancel up to 24 hours before your tour date. Cancellations made with less notice may be subject to a fee. The cancellation terms that apply come with your booking confirmation; section 7 of our Terms and Conditions covers cancellations. Bookings must be made at least 24 hours before the tour date. Need a different date? Contact us before the 24-hour cutoff and we will do our best to reschedule, subject to availability.
Times and details are indicative
Indicative: we confirm the details in your booking confirmation. The pickup window, the stop order and clock times, the winery, which of the boat ride and Journey Behind the Falls applies on your date, what is included and the vehicle are taken from the tour's listed timetable (checked on 12 October 2026) and can change with traffic, season, weather and closures. The clock times are a summer running order: see the season guide. The photos are illustrative: colours, fireworks and foliage change with the date.
How booking works
- Choose your date and who is travelling. Book at least 24 hours before your tour date. The calendar shows a single 2:00 PM time, but hotel pickups run about 1:00 to 2:00 PM, depending on your hotel.
- Send your request. Your booking is a request until we confirm availability by email, as soon as possible after we receive it. The calendar has no hotel field: after you send your request, email your hotel's name and address to info@voyzo.com.
- Get your trip details. After confirmation we email your pickup time, your pickup place and the vehicle details before the tour.
The boat ride and Journey Behind the Falls
The boat ride runs seasonally, typically spring to late autumn, weather permitting. When it is not operating, Journey Behind the Falls is the planned stand-in where its published hours allow, which does not cover every evening (it closes at 6 PM on most days from late October to mid-December). We confirm which applies to your date, and the running order for your date, when your booking is confirmed. The Falls Fireworks Cruise, a separate Niagara City Cruises sailing of about 40 minutes on select evenings, is not part of this tour.
Children, infants and seniors
The calendar has four prices: adults (13+), seniors (60+ years), children (3-12 years) and infants (0-2 years, listed at US$0). Tell us the ages of any children when you request your date. Whether an infant has a seat of their own, and whether child car seats are needed or available, is confirmed when you book: Ontario requires approved child car seats in most vehicles, with exemptions for some vehicles that carry passengers for hire. On the summer timetable the tour finishes late, at about 11:30 PM to midnight. Strollers are not permitted inside Journey Behind the Falls.
Accessibility
We do not yet have confirmed accessibility details for the vehicle or the hotel pickups, so please tell us about any mobility needs before you request your date: email info@voyzo.com and we will check what can be arranged. Niagara Parks describes Journey Behind the Falls as partially accessible, with an elevator to an accessible tunnel and the upper deck, while the lower deck is reached by stairs.
Wine tasting
The legal drinking age in Ontario is 19, so wine is for guests aged 19 and over and younger guests are offered grape juice where the winery provides it. The winery and the length of the stop are confirmed when you book, and tasting-room hours vary by winery and season. Ice wine is not listed as part of the tasting; ask us before you rely on it.
What to bring and the weather
Evenings at the Falls are cool even in summer and cold from November to March: typical overnight lows are about 17 degrees Celsius in July, 6 degrees in October, 1 degree in November and minus 4 degrees in December (Environment Canada 1981-2010 normals). The mist adds to the chill, so bring layers, a waterproof jacket, comfortable walking shoes and a camera. Dinner is not included, and whether gratuities are expected is confirmed when you book. The tour stays in Canada and does not cross the border; no eTA is needed for travel within Canada, but carry photo ID as a precaution.
Language, group size and vehicle
This is a small-group tour on a set itinerary. How the tour is led, the language of any commentary, the maximum group size and the vehicle (the tour listing mentions an SUV, a Sprinter van or a mini-coach, depending on how many guests are booked for the date) are all confirmed in writing when your booking is confirmed.
Who you book with
You book with Voyzo FZ-LLC, which remains your point of contact for booking, pricing and support: info@voyzo.com. The meeting point, departure time and vehicle details are confirmed in writing when your booking is confirmed.

A shared tour is priced per person and a private tour per group, so which costs less depends on your group size. This tour covers more ground in a long day on a set timetable, with a winery, a boat ride in season and the Falls after dark. The private night tour is shorter, timed to the lights on your date and run on your schedule.

Frequently asked questions
How much does the Niagara Falls evening tour from Toronto cost?
The Niagara Falls evening tour from Toronto costs from US$225 per person, in US dollars with no added taxes. The booking calendar showed US$299 for an adult (13 and over), US$259 for a senior (60 and over), US$225 for a child (3 to 12) and US$0 for an infant (0 to 2) on 12 October 2026. Dinner, optional attraction tickets and other extras are not included. Choose your guests and your date in the calendar on this page to send your request.
Is there an evening tour of Niagara Falls from Toronto?
Yes, Voyzo offers a shared small-group Niagara Falls evening tour from Toronto, sometimes called a day and evening tour: you are collected from your hotel in the early afternoon and finish with the Falls lit after dark. The listed summer timetable adds a wine tasting, a drive through Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Niagara Parkway, a boat ride when it is operating and free time for dinner, with a return at about 11:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Fireworks and the Winter Festival of Lights are seasonal. Stops and times are indicative and confirmed when you book.
Is this a shared tour or a private evening tour?
The evening tour is a shared small-group tour: you join other guests on one set itinerary and departure, in a vehicle sized to the number of guests booked that day (indicative). A shared departure needs a minimum number of guests, so we confirm your date by email when your booking is confirmed, and the maximum group size is confirmed then too. If you want your own vehicle and a night built around your group, see Voyzo's private Niagara Falls night tour instead.
Is the Niagara Falls evening tour worth it, and who should skip it?
The evening tour is worth considering if you want the Falls lit after dark, a winery tasting and a boat ride in season in one trip, with no driving or parking at night. The Falls are lit every night of the year, and the Niagara Parkway is part of the drive. Skip it if you want to be back in Toronto early, set your own pace, avoid a fixed timetable or spend less: it is a long day of about 10 to 11 hours with a return near midnight on the summer timetable, and you share the vehicle with other guests.
How long is the evening tour, and what time do we get back to Toronto?
The evening tour takes about 10 to 11 hours on its listed summer timetable, from hotel pickup between about 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to hotel drop-off at about 11:30 PM to 12:00 AM, traffic permitting. Niagara Falls is about 125 to 130 km from downtown Toronto, roughly a 1.5-hour drive in normal traffic, and the drive can take much longer at rush hour or on busy weekends. Plan for a very late finish; drop-off is planned at your hotel, so you do not need to arrange a late journey home. All times are indicative and confirmed when you book.
What is the itinerary of the Niagara Falls evening tour?
The Niagara Falls evening tour follows one set order, from an afternoon hotel pickup to the Falls after dark. The listed summer running order is: hotel pickup about 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Niagara-on-the-Lake and a winery tasting about 4:00 PM, a chapel photo stop about 4:30 PM, the Whirlpool Rapids about 5:25 PM, the Niagara Parkway about 6:00 PM, the boat ride about 6:30 PM when it runs, dinner and free time about 7:45 PM, the lit Falls about 10:00 PM and drop-off about 11:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Times are confirmed when you book.
What time do the Falls light up, and what do we see on a night without fireworks?
The Falls are lit in changing colours every night of the year, so a night without fireworks still ends with the illuminated Falls. Niagara Parks' published schedule, which is undated, has the lights on from 6:00 PM between 16 and 31 October, from 4:30 PM between 1 November and 31 December and from 5:00 PM in January (checked 12 October 2026). From 14 November the Winter Festival of Lights adds light displays. Colours vary from night to night and cannot be promised.
Are there fireworks on the evening tour?
Fireworks are part of the evening only on dates when a show is scheduled, so we never promise them for your night. The 2026 Niagara Falls fireworks series ran nightly at 10:00 PM from 15 May to 12 October, weather permitting, and no 2027 dates had been published when we checked on 12 October 2026. Niagara Falls Tourism lists Friday and Saturday winter fireworks at 8 PM in November and December, which we do not promise either. Strong wind can cancel a show, and viewing in Niagara Parks is free.
Where and when does the evening tour pick up in Toronto?
The evening tour picks up from hotels in the Greater Toronto Area, meaning the City of Toronto plus the regions of Durham, Halton, Peel and York; for a hotel near the edge of that area, such as in Brock, Georgina or Clarington, ask us first. Pickup falls between about 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM, staggered by hotel, and we confirm your exact time by email when your booking is confirmed. The booking calendar has no hotel field, so after you send your request, email your hotel's name and address to info@voyzo.com. Only hotels are offered; for a home, rental or airport pickup, email us.
What is included in the evening tour price, and what is not?
The fare covers hotel pickup and return in the Greater Toronto Area, the stops on the itinerary, a wine tasting at a local winery and the boat ride when it is operating; on other dates we confirm what takes its place. Dinner, optional attraction tickets, such as the Skylon Tower observation deck, and other extras are not included. Prices have no added taxes. We confirm anything not listed here when your booking is confirmed.
Is the boat cruise included, and what replaces it in winter?
Yes, the tour includes the Niagara City Cruises boat ride (formerly Hornblower Niagara Cruises) when it is operating, and Journey Behind the Falls is the planned stand-in when it is not, where its published hours allow. The ride (about 20 minutes) is seasonal, typically spring to late autumn, weather permitting; Niagara Parks' 2026 hours show daytime sailings only from mid-October and none from early January (checked 12 October 2026). Journey Behind the Falls closes at 6 PM on most days from late October to mid-December, so neither fits 6:30 PM then. The separate 40-minute Falls Fireworks Cruise is not listed as part of this tour. We confirm which applies to your date, and when.
Is dinner included, and how much free time do we get at the Falls?
Dinner is not included, but the summer running order leaves free time from about 7:45 PM until the lit Falls at about 10:00 PM, roughly 2 hours 15 minutes, to eat and explore on your own. For example, Niagara Parks' Table Rock House Restaurant lists hours to 9 PM on most nights from mid-October, and Skylon Tower's Revolving Dining Room serves dinner from 6 PM to 10 PM (checked 12 October 2026), both at your own cost. A Skylon Tower visit is not part of the tour; email info@voyzo.com if you would like an optional attraction and we will tell you whether it can be arranged.
What is the winery stop, and do I need to be 19 for the wine tasting?
The stop at about 4:00 PM combines a drive through Niagara-on-the-Lake with a wine tasting at a local winery, and we confirm the winery when your booking is confirmed. The legal drinking age in Ontario is 19, so younger guests are offered grape juice where the winery provides it, and you may be asked for photo ID. Ice wine is not listed as part of the tasting. Tasting rooms keep seasonal hours, and sunset is about 4:42 PM in mid-December (checked 12 October 2026), so this stop may be adjusted in winter.
Can children and infants join the evening tour, and which price applies?
Yes, children aged 3 to 12 can join the evening tour at US$225 each, and infants aged 0 to 2 are listed at US$0 in the booking calendar. Adults aged 13 and over pay US$299 and seniors aged 60 and over pay US$259. How infants travel, including seating and car seats, is confirmed when your booking is confirmed. Tell us the children's ages when you request your date, and note that on the summer timetable the tour returns at about 11:30 PM to 12:00 AM, a long night for young children.
Is the evening tour suitable for wheelchair users or limited mobility?
We cannot yet confirm that the vehicle is wheelchair accessible, so please tell us about any mobility needs before you send your request and we will confirm what can be arranged. The evening involves getting in and out of the vehicle at several stops and walking at the Falls. At Journey Behind the Falls, the planned stand-in for the boat ride when it is not operating, an elevator reaches the accessible tunnel and the upper deck, but the lower deck needs stairs. Email info@voyzo.com with your needs.
Does the evening tour run in winter, and what changes through the year?
The booking calendar shows which dates you can request, and we have not confirmed a published year-round schedule, so ask us before you request a winter date. Niagara Parks' published boat hours are daytime-only from mid-October (checked 12 October 2026); Journey Behind the Falls, the planned stand-in for the boat when it is not running, closes at 6 PM on most days from late October to mid-December; and the Falls lights come on at 4:30 PM from 1 November. The summer running order therefore cannot hold on those dates, and we confirm the running order for your date when you book.
What is the Winter Festival of Lights, and is it part of the tour?
The Winter Festival of Lights is a seasonal outdoor light display that Niagara Falls Tourism lists from 14 November 2026 to 10 January 2027. Its displays run nightly from 5:00 PM to midnight and are free to visit (checked 12 October 2026). Niagara Falls Tourism still says more updates for the 2026-27 season are to come. The festival is not a listed stop on the evening tour, so whether your evening passes its displays is confirmed when your booking is confirmed.
What happens if it rains or the fireworks are cancelled?
The Falls are scheduled to be lit every night whatever the weather, but weather can affect the fireworks and the boat ride. Niagara Parks says displays are weather dependent and strong wind can cancel a show, and it lists high wind or high water as reasons the boat ride can close. We do not publish a separate bad-weather rule for this tour: the cancellation terms that apply come with your booking confirmation, and section 7 of our Terms and Conditions covers cancellations.
What should I wear and bring for an evening at the Falls?
Dress in layers with good walking shoes and a light waterproof layer, because evenings at the Falls are cool even in summer and the mist can wet you in any season. Typical overnight lows are about 17 degrees Celsius in July, 6 degrees in October, 1 degree in November and minus 4 degrees in December, so add a hat, gloves and a warm coat from late autumn. The boat ride provides a complimentary poncho. Bring a camera or phone, money for dinner and photo ID.
Should I take the evening tour, a private night tour, the GO Train or drive myself?
Choose this shared evening tour for a planned night with no driving at a per-person fare. Choose Voyzo's private Niagara Falls night tour for your own vehicle and a schedule built around your group. Choose the GO Train with a WEGO pass, at a lower fare, or your own car if you want to plan the night yourself. Check the last train home for your date before relying on the GO Train after dark. The comparison table on this page sets the options side by side with sources and dates.
Should I choose the evening tour or a day tour?
Choose the evening tour if seeing the Falls lit after dark matters most, and a day tour if you want to be back in Toronto between late afternoon and early evening. The evening tour picks up in the early afternoon and returns at about 11:30 PM to 12:00 AM, while Voyzo's shared Niagara Falls day tours start in the morning and return in the late afternoon or early evening. Each is a shared tour with per-person fares, so compare the stops and prices on each page.
How does booking the evening tour work?
To book the evening tour, choose your guests and your date in the booking calendar on this page at least 24 hours before the tour date, then send your request. Your booking is a request until we confirm availability by email, and the confirmation gives your pickup time and place and the vehicle details. The calendar shows a single 2:00 PM time; your pickup falls between about 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM depending on your hotel, and we confirm it by email. A larger party is welcome to email info@voyzo.com.
What is the cancellation and change policy?
You can cancel up to 24 hours before your tour date. Cancellations made with less notice may be subject to a fee. The cancellation terms that apply come with your booking confirmation; section 7 of our Terms and Conditions covers cancellations. To change your date, contact us before the 24-hour cutoff and we will do our best to reschedule, subject to availability.
Who do I book with, and what vehicle is used?
You book with Voyzo FZ-LLC, which remains your point of contact for booking, pricing and support: info@voyzo.com. The meeting point, departure time and vehicle details are confirmed in writing when your booking is confirmed. The supplier's listing describes a vehicle sized to the number of guests booked that day, from an SUV or van up to a mini-coach, and states no onboard features or tour language, so we confirm those when your booking is confirmed.
Do I need a passport for the Niagara Falls evening tour?
No passport is needed for the tour itself, because the evening tour stays on the Canadian side and does not cross the Canada-U.S. border. Guests must be in Canada lawfully, and the entry rules for your journey into Canada depend on your nationality, so check canada.ca. No eTA is needed for travel within Canada. We recommend carrying photo ID, such as your passport, which the winery may ask to see for the tasting.

About the Niagara Falls evening tour
This tour is a long sweep from the afternoon into the night: a tasting and a drive through Niagara-on-the-Lake, the gorge and the river along the Niagara Parkway, then the Falls themselves after dark. On the summer timetable the group is in the Falls area from about 6:30 PM, which leaves about 3 hours 30 minutes there before the drive home.
Because the clock times follow a summer running order, the season decides what you see. Fireworks are seasonal, the boat ride is seasonal, and from November to January the sun sets before the Whirlpool and Parkway stops. The season guide above shows what each month offers, and your confirmation email gives the running order for your date.
Niagara Falls is lit every night of the year. The lights have been financed and operated by the Niagara Falls Illumination Board from 1925 (Niagara Parks), the display is multi-coloured LED lighting, and on some nights a single colour marks a charity or awareness date.
After dark the Falls can also carry less water. Under the 1950 Niagara Treaty the flow over the Falls must be at least 100,000 cubic feet per second in tourist-season daylight hours and at least 50,000 at other times. The fireworks, when they run, are launched from within the Niagara Gorge between the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls.
The afternoon part of the tour follows the Niagara Parkway. The Whirlpool forms where the river turns sharply at the end of the Whirlpool Rapids, which Niagara Parks classes as Class 6. Niagara-on-the-Lake's historic district, designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2004, is noted by Parks Canada for buildings from 1815 to 1859.
