Private Cathedral Church of St. James Tour: sample itinerary
This is a sample, not a fixed schedule. The order and the time at each stop are set with your group within the 2 hours, and the cathedral's visiting hours, services and events decide when the interior can be entered. No time is set on this page for any stop.
-
Start
Meet at the Cathedral Church of St. James
The tour meets at the cathedral, 106 King Street East. The cathedral lists itself as open to visitors Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, so we plan the interior visit inside those hours and confirm your exact start time and meeting spot by email.
-
Next
Inside the cathedral, then St. James Park
The visit inside the Gothic Revival cathedral, which the cathedral's history says opened for services on this site in 1853, is followed by St. James Park beside it, which the City of Toronto describes as Victorian-inspired gardens with a central fountain and a grand gazebo. Services and events can limit access to the nave, so we confirm on the day.
-

Optional stops
- Cathedral bell tour (by appointment). The cathedral's architecture page says bell tours are by special appointment through the cathedral office. A bell tour is not part of the 2 hours; tell us if you want one and we confirm whether it can be arranged.
- Inside the Hockey Hall of Fame. The Hall charges its own admission ($29.95 for ages 14 to 64; the Hall's site does not name the currency, so we assume Canadian dollars; checked 29 October 2026). Tell us if you want to go inside; we confirm whether it fits in the 2 hours and how tickets are handled.
Tickets, seasons & itinerary changes

Good to know
Cancellation and changes
You can cancel up to 24 hours before your tour date, and a cancellation made less than 24 hours before your tour date is not refunded. Your booking confirmation carries the cancellation terms that apply; section 7 of our Terms and Conditions covers cancellations. A booking needs at least 24 hours' notice. To cancel or change your date, email info@voyzo.com before the 24-hour cutoff; we will try to reschedule, subject to availability. Section 10 of the Terms and Conditions describes how independent operators fit in.
How booking works
- Choose your group size, date and start time. We need at least 24 hours' notice.
- Send your request. The calendar's Book now button sends a request rather than a confirmed booking.
- Share your wishes. Put dietary needs, mobility needs, children's ages and any time you must finish by in the message box of the quote form on this page, or email info@voyzo.com.
- Receive your confirmation. Once we confirm availability by email, we send your exact time and meeting details ahead of the tour.
How the hours work
The price covers a private tour of 2 hours. The booking calendar shows one price per group size and has no length option. If you want a longer tour, tell us by email to info@voyzo.com or in the quote form on this page, and we confirm whether it is possible and the total in your booking confirmation.
Visiting the cathedral
The Cathedral Church of St. James lists itself as open for prayer and tourism from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Saturday, and lists Sunday services but no Sunday visiting hours (checked 29 October 2026). The booking calendar offers starts every hour from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, so we plan the interior visit inside the cathedral's hours and confirm your start time by email. Services and events can limit access to the nave, and the cathedral's pages do not say when; for a Sunday booking, ask us before you book what can be arranged.
Tickets and what is not included
The cathedral pages we read state no admission fee for ordinary visits, and its own guided tours in November 2026 are free with donations welcome (checked 29 October 2026); we confirm the entry arrangement for your date by email. The Hockey Hall of Fame lists general admission for ages 14 to 64 at $29.95, youth ages 4 to 13 at $19.95, ages 65 and over at $24.95 and free for ages 3 and under, subject to taxes; the Hall's site shows dollar prices without naming the currency, so we assume Canadian dollars (Hockey Hall of Fame, checked 29 October 2026). Attraction admission is not included in the tour price unless we confirm it when you book. Gratuities and meals are not included.
Group size
The calendar sells groups of 1 to 56 guests. The cathedral's history page says group tours must be arranged through its office, so for a larger group tell us your size early and we confirm by email whether the interior visit can take it.
Accessibility
The cathedral publishes no accessibility statement on the pages we read, and we have not confirmed step-free access at the cathedral, St. Lawrence Market or the Hockey Hall of Fame. The TTC's Easier Access schedule lists King Station among the stations still to be made accessible in 2026 and says schedules may change (checked 26 October 2026). Tell us about any mobility needs, wheelchair or stroller before you book, and we confirm what can be arranged for your group.
Children
Tell us the children's ages in your booking request or message. We found no age rule at the cathedral. If your group goes inside the Hockey Hall of Fame, its website sets admission by age: ages 4 to 13 pay a youth rate and ages 3 and under are free (checked 29 October 2026).
Weather and what to bring
Most of the route is outdoors between stops; the cathedral, the market hall and the Hall are indoors when open. At the Toronto City climate station the 1991-2020 normal daily maximum is 8.1 C in November and between -0.3 C and 2.6 C from December to February (Environment and Climate Change Canada), and Ontario's clocks go back on 1 November 2026, so dusk comes earlier. Dress for the season. This page sets no wet-weather plan: ask us before you book and we confirm by email.
Photography
We found no photography rule on the cathedral pages we read, and we did not read the Hockey Hall of Fame's rules. Each place sets its own rules on the day; ask us before you book and we confirm what we can by email. The cathedral asks visitors to be quiet because the building is often used for services and prayer.
Who runs your tour
You book with Voyzo FZ-LLC, and Voyzo remains your point of contact for booking, pricing and support: info@voyzo.com.
Some private tours run on the vehicles and drivers of Voyzo's affiliated Canadian operating company; other tours, such as flights, boat rides and attraction visits, are run by independent operators, all professionally licensed and insured.
This is a walking tour with a meeting point, for your group only. We confirm who leads the tour and the meeting spot in your booking confirmation; this page does not state who leads it, their qualifications or their languages, so ask us if you need a particular language.
Private tour, the cathedral's own tour or doing it yourself?
| Topic | This private tour | Cathedral's own tour | Doing it yourself |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who you walk with | Your group only | Other visitors | Your own party |
| What it covers | The cathedral interior plus St. James Park, St. Lawrence Market, Front Street and the Hockey Hall of Fame | The cathedral only: about 40 minutes | Whatever you plan; each stop has its own hours |
| When | A date and start time you request; we plan the cathedral visit inside its Monday to Saturday, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm hours | Listed dates in November 2026: 5, 7, 10, 15, 17, 21 and 29 | The cathedral's visiting hours, any day it lists |
| Cost | One group total: US$1,499 for 1 to 4 guests, rising with group size | Free; donations welcome | The cathedral's pages state no admission fee for ordinary visits; Hockey Hall of Fame admission is separate |
| If plans change | Cancel up to 24 hours before your tour date; terms come with your confirmation | Set by the cathedral | Yours to change |
| Choose it if | You want a private tour of the cathedral and Old Town in one 2-hour walk | You only want the cathedral and can fit a listed date | You want to set everything yourself |
The cathedral's own November tours cost nothing and are the cheaper way to see the interior, but they cover only the cathedral and run on listed dates. This private tour costs more because it is for your group only and adds the walk through Old Town on a date you choose.

About the Private Cathedral Church of St. James Tour
This tour is for groups who want to see inside the Cathedral Church of St. James and then walk the streets around it. The cathedral's own timeline dates the first Anglican service in the Town of York to 1793, records fires in 1839 and 1849, and says the present Gothic Revival cathedral opened for services on its original site in 1853. Its architecture page gives the tower and spire as 305 feet (about 93 metres) above the street, and the Ontario Heritage Trust lists the building as individually designated under the Ontario Heritage Act.
The Old Town Toronto BIA traces the neighbourhood to the Town of York in 1793, and the City of Toronto calls the St. Lawrence Market complex a landmark for more than 200 years. Hours shape this route: the cathedral lists visiting hours Monday to Saturday and the South Market is closed on Mondays, so Tuesday to Saturday is when both are open to visitors (checked 29 October 2026).
The Cathedral Church of St. James is at 106 King Street East in Old Town Toronto. Its own timeline dates the first Anglican service in the Town of York to 1793, records a fire in January 1839 and a second fire that destroyed the cathedral in 1849, and says the present Gothic Revival cathedral opened for services on the original site in 1853. The Ontario Heritage Trust lists it as individually designated under the Ontario Heritage Act and names F. W. Cumberland and Thomas Ridout as its architects.
The cathedral's architecture page says the tower, designed by William Storm, was built in 1865 to 1870 and that the tower and spire rise 305 feet (about 93 metres) above the street; its pages give different completion dates for the tower and spire, so this page states no single year. The cathedral lists itself as open for prayer and tourism from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Saturday, and asks visitors to be quiet because the building is often used for services and prayer.
From the cathedral, the walk covers St. James Park next door, St. Lawrence Market on Front Street East, Front Street and the Hockey Hall of Fame at 30 Yonge Street. The Old Town Toronto BIA traces the neighbourhood to the Town of York in 1793, and the City of Toronto calls the market complex a landmark for more than 200 years.
