Cancellation and changes
You can cancel up to 24 hours before your tour date, and a cancellation made less than 24 hours before your tour date is not refunded. To cancel or change your date, email info@voyzo.com before the 24-hour cutoff; we will try to reschedule, subject to availability. Section 10 of the Terms and Conditions describes how independent operators fit in.
How booking works
- Choose your group size, date and start time. We need at least 24 hours' notice.
- Send your request. The calendar's Book now button sends a request rather than a confirmed booking.
- Share your wishes. Put your group size, mobility needs, children's ages and any time you must finish by in the message box of the quote form on this page, or email info@voyzo.com.
- Receive your confirmation. Once we confirm availability by email, we send your exact time and meeting point ahead of the tour.
How the hours work
The price covers a private walk of 2.5 hours. The booking calendar shows one price per group size and has no length option. If you want more time, tell us by email to info@voyzo.com or in the quote form on this page, and we confirm whether it is possible and the total in your booking confirmation.
Who runs your tour
You book with Voyzo FZ-LLC, and Voyzo remains your point of contact for booking, pricing and support: info@voyzo.com.
Some private tours run on the vehicles and drivers of Voyzo's affiliated Canadian operating company; other tours, such as flights, boat rides and attraction visits, are run by independent operators, all professionally licensed and insured.
This page does not name the guide or any vehicle for this walk, and it does not say which of these applies. We confirm who leads your walk, and how any transport is arranged, by email once your booking is confirmed.
Inside the buildings
This page does not say that the group goes inside St. Paul's Basilica, the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse or Little Trinity Church, because each sets its own access. St. Paul's lists visits outside Mass on Saturday and Sunday and by request on weekdays; Little Trinity asks people to call before dropping by; the schoolhouse publishes no general hours and offers pre-booked tours. We confirm by email what is open on your date (checked 29 October 2026).
Tickets, admission and extras
The price covers the private walk. Attraction tickets, admission, meals and snacks and gratuities are not included. Separate costs can include a pre-booked Enoch Turner Schoolhouse tour, which the Ontario Heritage Trust lists at $5 per participant (currency not named; checked 29 October 2026), and Distillery Winter Village tickets from 12 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. Ask us before you book if you want one added.
Accessibility and the route
This page does not set a walking distance or a step-free route, so tell us about any mobility needs before you book and we confirm what can be arranged. The Distillery District's FAQ says its cobblestone streets are uneven in places and that buildings, shops and restaurants have ramp access. The Ontario Heritage Trust says the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse is fully wheelchair accessible with accessible washrooms, and Little Trinity says its church, house and annex are accessible. Waterfront Toronto says the Bayview Avenue entrance to Corktown Common is barrier-free and the Bala Underpass entrance is stairs only (checked 29 October 2026).

Weather and what to wear
Most of the route is outdoors. Environment and Climate Change Canada's 1991 to 2020 normals for the Toronto City station give a daily high of 2.6 °C and a low of −2.7 °C in December, and −0.3 °C and −6.7 °C in January. Wear warm, waterproof layers in winter and shoes for cobblestones. This page sets no bad-weather rule, so ask us before you book.
Photography

How is this walk different from Voyzo's other Toronto walking tours?
As of 29 October 2026 it is the Voyzo Toronto walk that covers Corktown: the schoolhouse, two churches, a park and the Distillery Historic District. The Cabbagetown walk, 2 hours, covers Riverdale Farm and the Toronto Necropolis; the churches walk, 2.5 hours, covers downtown churches; and the city highlights walk, 3 hours, is a broad downtown route. Each page lists its own stops and price.
Can I make the walk longer or change the plan?
You can ask. The price covers a private walk of 2.5 hours. If you want more time, a different start or more than 56 guests, tell us in the quote form on this page or by email to info@voyzo.com, and we confirm by email whether it is possible and what the total is.
Who leads the walk, and is a guide included?
You book with Voyzo FZ-LLC, and we confirm by email who leads your walk once your booking is confirmed. The tour details we hold do not name the guide or the language, so tell us in your request if your group needs a particular language, and we confirm what is possible.
What is the Distillery Historic District in Toronto?
Parks Canada describes the Gooderham and Worts Distillery as a national historic site designated in 1988, with 30 brick and stone industrial buildings built between 1859 and 1927 on 13 acres at Trinity and Mill streets. The walk ends there. Its streets are cobblestone and its shops and restaurants keep their own hours.

About the Corktown and Distillery District walk
The walk is a short history of one corner of Old Town in five named places. Three are historic buildings that date from the 19th century: a parish founded in 1822 whose present church held its first Mass in 1889, a school that opened in 1849 and a church founded in 1842. The fourth is a park that opened in July 2014, and the fifth is a national historic site of former distillery buildings. We confirm the order of the stops and what each place allows on your date.
Conditions shape the walk more than the stops do. Most of the route is outdoors, the Distillery District's streets are cobblestone, and the Distillery Winter Village adds ticketed hours between 12 November 2026 and 3 January 2027. Each building keeps its own hours, so tell us your group size, your preferred start and any mobility needs when you request your date, and we confirm the plan by email.
Corktown is one of the areas of Old Town, which Destination Toronto calls the historic centre of Toronto. The Enoch Turner Schoolhouse Foundation says the neighbourhood became known as Corktown because many of its families came from Cork, in what is now southern Ireland. The Enoch Turner Schoolhouse, at 106 Trinity Street, was established in 1848 by the brewer Enoch Turner and opened in 1849 with space for 240 pupils; the Ontario Heritage Trust describes it as the first free school in Toronto and as the oldest school still standing in the city (checked 29 October 2026).
St. Paul's Basilica, at 83 Power Street, says its parish was established in 1822 and calls the church the mother church of the Archdiocese of Toronto. Bishop Thomas Timothy O'Mahony worked with the architect Joseph Connolly on the present Italian Romanesque church, which held its first Mass just before Christmas 1889, and Pope John Paul II raised it to a minor basilica on 3 August 1999. Little Trinity Church, at 425 King Street East, says Bishop John Strachan established it in 1842 to serve a fast-growing working-class neighbourhood, and an Ontario Heritage Trust plaque calls it the oldest surviving church in the city of Toronto.
Corktown Common, a park of 7.3 hectares that Waterfront Toronto says opened in July 2014, has a playground, a marsh and sightlines of the Toronto skyline. The walk ends in the Distillery Historic District, which Parks Canada describes as a national historic site designated in 1988, with 30 brick and stone industrial buildings built between 1859 and 1927 on 13 acres. Little Trinity's history names the distillery owners William Gooderham and James Worts among its prominent funders and early leaders, which links the church to the district where the walk ends.
