Groups of more than 4 guests have longer notice periods, which we confirm with your reply. If the experience cannot run because of severe weather or too few guests, you are offered another date or a full refund. We recommend travel insurance.

For an oasis arranged for your group alone, see the Royal Platinum Private Desert Oasis Experience.
Is there dune bashing?
No. The operator describes this as a 60-minute nature safari in a vintage Land Rover at the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, not as a dune-bashing ride.
What time is pickup and when do we return?
Pickup in Dubai is between 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM depending on the season, with the exact time confirmed around noon on the day. The return to your hotel is between 9:30 PM and 11:30 PM, and the whole evening lasts about 7 hours.
What is the dinner like, and can dietary needs be catered for?
Dinner is a four-course traditional Emirati meal at the camp, with shared starters and mains. The operator's published menu lists dishes such as lentil soup (shorbat adas), kibbeh, sambousek, baba ganoush, hummus, lamb ouzi with rice, harees, camel meat, charcoal-grilled chicken, vegetable tagine and luqaimat, and the menu can change. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and kosher-style meals are available if declared; tell us any dietary needs or allergies when you request the tour so they can be passed on before the day.
Can we do the nature safari by camel instead?
The operator's booking page lists both a vintage Land Rover and a camel as ways to make the nature safari. Tell us which you prefer when you request, and we confirm what is available for your date and the total in our reply. Voyzo's separate Camel Desert Safari is built around a camel safari of about 45 minutes.

The vintage vehicles are the heart of this evening's heritage theme. Land Rover launched its first model, the Series I, in 1948, so a Land Rover from the 1950s is an early example of the marque, and the operator's brochure describes the vehicles on this evening as 1950s open-top Land Rovers. An open vehicle suits a 60-minute nature safari, where the point is the scenery and the wildlife rather than speed.
The Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve is a protected area of dunes, gravel plains and ghaf woodland covering roughly 225 square kilometres, about five per cent of Dubai's land area. Sources differ on exactly when it was created, with a decree dated 2002 and a perimeter fence completed in 2003 both cited, and some trace its roots to the Al Maha conservation area of around 1999. Its best-known resident is the Arabian oryx, an antelope recorded as extinct in the wild by the early 1970s that the IUCN moved from extinct in the wild to vulnerable in 2011 after reintroductions across the Arabian Peninsula.
Falconry is far older than the reserve. Bedouin communities across the Arabian Peninsula used falcons as a hunting partner for centuries, and in 2010 UNESCO inscribed falconry on its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on a nomination in which the United Arab Emirates was one of the original countries; later extensions had widened it to 24 countries by 2021. The evening then moves to a torch-lit camp built in a Bedouin style, where Arabic coffee and dates open the welcome; UNESCO inscribed Arabic coffee, a symbol of generosity, on its Representative List in 2015. The operator states that a portion of each fee supports local conservation in Dubai.
