Who runs your tour

You book with Voyzo FZ-LLC, and Voyzo remains your point of contact for booking, pricing and support: info@voyzo.com.

Some private tours run on the vehicles and drivers of Voyzo's affiliated Canadian operating company; other tours, such as flights, boat rides and attraction visits, are run by independent operators, all professionally licensed and insured.

Admission and costs on the day

Credit Valley Conservation lists entry to Rattray Marsh Conservation Area as free (checked 29 October 2026), so there is no admission ticket to buy. It lists parking only at the Jack Darling Memorial Park lot, and neither Credit Valley Conservation nor the City of Mississauga page we read states a parking fee, so this page states none. Gratuities and meals are not included in the price.

Parking and washrooms

Credit Valley Conservation says Rattray Marsh has no parking of its own: parking is only at the Jack Darling Memorial Park lot, 1180 Lakeshore Rd W, parking on surrounding streets is not permitted, and visitors should make other plans if that lot is full. Washrooms are available at Jack Darling Memorial Park (checked 29 October 2026). It mentions no bus or coach parking, so we confirm by email how a larger group's vehicles are handled.

Accessibility

Credit Valley Conservation marks all five Rattray Marsh trails stroller friendly and rates four of them easy and the White Pine Trail moderate. It says the Knoll Trail boardwalk was renovated to its accessibility standards, with an average width of 2.0 m and a maximum grade of 6.9%. It does not address wheelchair access, and this page does not state that a wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available. If anyone in your group has mobility needs, tell us before you book; questions go to info@voyzo.com.

Children and pets

Include your children's ages in your booking request, by email to info@voyzo.com or in the quote form on this page, and we confirm the details for your group. Credit Valley Conservation lists dog walking among the activities at the marsh, asks visitors to stay on designated trails and requires pets on a six-foot leash (or less) at all times. Whether pets can join this tour is not stated on this page, so ask us before you book.

Rules at the marsh

Credit Valley Conservation's visitor rules ask visitors to stay on designated trails, to avoid loud voices and music, to observe wildlife from a distance and never feed it. They do not allow alcoholic beverages or drugs, including cannabis, or drones on or above its property, and say a permit may be required for commercial photography and filming. Cycling is not permitted through Rattray Marsh (checked 29 October 2026).

Weather, daylight and what to bring

The outing is outdoors and Credit Valley Conservation says all boardwalks are slippery when wet, so we suggest shoes with a grip and clothes for the weather on your date. The marsh closes before sunset, so we confirm a start time that fits the daylight. This page states no rain, ice or storm rule; if the forecast worries you, email info@voyzo.com and we confirm what can be done for your date.

Wildlife

Credit Valley Conservation lists herons, rabbits, beavers, deer and foxes among the wildlife at Rattray Marsh and counts 227 bird species. Sightings depend on the day and the season and are never guaranteed on the tour.

Food and drink

Meals and snacks are not part of the tour price. Credit Valley Conservation lists washrooms at Jack Darling Memorial Park, and it does not allow alcoholic beverages in its conservation areas. Tell us about dietary needs in the quote form on this page or by email to info@voyzo.com.

About the Private Rattray Marsh Nature Escape

This outing is for groups who want a long block of time at one Lake Ontario wetland rather than a city route. Rattray Marsh Conservation Area is run by Credit Valley Conservation, which counts 227 bird species and 428 plant species there. The tour is private for your group, while the conservation area itself is public and free to enter, so the trails may be shared with other visitors.

The tour is booked for 6 hours, and this page does not set out what fills them beyond the stops it names: the marsh boardwalks, the Sheridan Creek Trail and the Knoll Trail lookout. Credit Valley Conservation's own time estimates for its five trails add up to about 65 minutes, so ask us what your 6 hours would hold before you book. We confirm the plan, your start time and your meeting details by email.

Rattray Marsh Conservation Area is on Mississauga's Lake Ontario shoreline and is owned and managed by Credit Valley Conservation, whose foundation describes it as a 94-acre area. Credit Valley Conservation says it receives more than 300,000 visitors a year. It is open 7 days a week from after sunrise to before sunset, entry is free, and cycling is not permitted through the marsh; parking is only at Jack Darling Memorial Park, where this tour meets (Credit Valley Conservation, checked 29 October 2026).

Credit Valley Conservation recognizes the marsh as a Provincially Significant Wetland, an Area of Natural and Scientific Interest and an Environmentally Significant Area, and notes a rare shingle bar beach, one of few along the western end of Lake Ontario. It counts 428 plant species, 227 birds, 26 mammals, 18 reptiles and amphibians and 11 fish, and calls the marsh a stop-over site for birds in spring and fall migration. Its elevated boardwalks raise visitors above the sensitive marsh soils so that wildlife can move underneath.

Credit Valley Conservation says that after the death of the estate's owner, a proposal for the land would have turned the marsh into a marina basin for a private yacht club. Dr. Ruth Hussey led local citizens in forming the Rattray Marsh Preservation Committee, which campaigned against it, and with the support of the newly formed City of Mississauga the conservation authority acquired the lands in the mid-1970s (its 50th-anniversary page says 1973, and its foundation says 1975).
